Week 4.

WEEK 4

And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do.

goodforsomething: (⛵ let's think about this)

[..........Stan's gonna poke it

With a pen, he's not an idiot]
pokexplorer: (❖ klinklang (pokemon))

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-22 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
[And the pen gets zapped!!

...Okay, not really. Stan's actions simply make Klinklang whir a bit and spin very quickly for a split second.

It's not exactly pleased to be poked with a pen, in other words. At least pet it, Stan!!]
goodforsomething: (⛵ where is glasses)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-22 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Shockingly, Stan is even less willing to put his fingers near a bunch of gears when they start moving faster. But he does at least withdraw the pen.]

Huh. Feisty.
pokexplorer: (❖ data collecting)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-22 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Bless your common sense, Stan.]

Is there anything you would like me to have Klinklang demonstrate, Mr. Pines? Or is there anything you would like to know about it?
goodforsomething: (⛵ the sudden realization that your life)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-22 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Why is it floatin'?

[There's a lot of questions he has, but let's start with that.]
pokexplorer: (❖ doin science)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-22 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that would be a natural ability of its entire evolutionary line. It is currently generating a field of energy which counteracts gravity. It works similarly to my Magnemite.
goodforsomething: (⛵ surprise the eye is still there for no)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-23 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Stan waves a hand beneath it. Yup.]

What else can it do?
pokexplorer: (❖ klinklang)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-23 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
It can fight, for one! Pokemon battles are common in my world, and I happen to be a trainer myself.

Its attacks generally involve it expelling electricity or using its many gears to its advantage.
goodforsomething: (⛵ fucking alchemy shit)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-23 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
So can it help break us outta here, or what?

[This is murdervault, literally no one cares about your Pokemon battles.]
pokexplorer: (❖ considering)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-23 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Excuse you Sigrun does!!!

But fair point.]

Perhaps if we find the actual exit, it can. Klinklang might be able to do something with the door, since it's not exactly a pushover when it comes to power.

goodforsomething: (⛵ see the gears turning)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-24 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds good. [Stan looks over Klingklang approvingly. Useful gear thing!] Where'd it even come from, that little ball?
pokexplorer: (❖ brains)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-25 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Its Pokeball?

[He rolls the Pokeball in his hand as it's brought up.]

I purchased it from a PokeMart quite some time ago. It was then used to capture Klinklang when it was still just a Klink.

goodforsomething: (⛵ oh yeah totally yep)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-25 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
...you wanna try that again in normal people words?
pokexplorer: (❖ oh?)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-25 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
[...]

I bought the ball from the store, and tamed my Pokemon with it.

[???]
goodforsomething: (⛵ surprise the eye is still there for no)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-25 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Not everything needs to have the word Poke in front of it, what's wrong with you]

How does it fit?
pokexplorer: (❖ doin science)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-25 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[WHAT, YES IT DOES...]

I'm afraid I cannot explain without getting at least a little technical. Is that acceptable?
goodforsomething: (⛵ sometimes you gotta stab a guy)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-25 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, shoot.

[He will understand none of this, let's go]
pokexplorer: (❖ gloves)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-25 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
When a Pokemon is captured with a Pokeball, its physical form is transformed into a type of energy that can be stored within the ball. It remains in there until I call it out again, as you saw just now.

[How's that, Stan.]
goodforsomething: (⛵ he's plotting something)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-25 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[...actually not bad]

Can ya do that with other things?
pokexplorer: (❖ oh?)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-03-26 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Not currently, no. Pokeball technology is designed specifically for Pokemon.

Did you...have something in mind?
