You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here.

Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now.

Maybe you should have a window in the first place.

This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out.

Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring.

If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building.

Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems.

But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this.

[ Okay so Elda had not really been planning to read the rules because she didn't intend to stay, but then when some bunny is hopping around and reading them off for her! Convenient! But more importantly, at that last one... Oh, oh. ]

Sounds like if some human round you up and makes you into a stew and we're none the wiser and we all get out've this.

[ . . . She has not yet connected that "terminate" might have another meaning there, she was just eavesdropping. And then being rude. ]

[Judy's ears swivel in Elda's direction before she even looks to see who is talking, feeling a distinct chill rush up her spine at those words.

For the first time, her wariness and fear of these people has been validated because wow.

She turns to look up at her very slowly, making sure she's not with her back against the wall, so to speak.]

Excuse me?

Well, humans eat rabbits, don't they?! [ Her laugh is ... jovial, but menacing. Honestly, more than a little bit cruel. ] Never heard of a talking rabbit, but when'd that ever stop them?!

Humans? Is that what you are?

[She takes a breath to steady herself, trying to will her nose not to twitch.]

I don't know if you're meaning to threaten me, but animals don't eat other animals anymore. We've evolved past savagery like that.

[ In a remarkably quick movement for a petite woman like her, Elda is upon Judy, intending to pick her up by her ears. Either way, she's baring her fangs and is smiling a smile of pure malice ]

Check your eyes, rabbit! I'm not one of those apes!

[Judy goes rigid when Elda suddenly comes for her, but she'll find that grabbing this rabbit is going to take far more than just quickness. She's much faster, and without hesitating she drops to the floor and leaps between Elda's legs, skidding across the ground on all fours before she pops back up and reaches for her belt.]

Wooah woah woah! I am going to have to ask you to take a step back! Or I will be forced to-

[...ah. All of her gear is...missing. No handcuffs...no fox repellent (not that it'd even work on humans). But at least she has her quickness on her side, and she refuses to let an unwanted hand on her.]

[ Used to being the quickest and the strongest in the room, Elda's actually briefly surprised when her clutches come upon air. She actually blinks once, and then twice, a little bit comically. Finally, Elda turns around and affixes her gaze on the rabbit, crossing her arms and declaring imperiously, ]

To what? [ That said, she doesn't take another step forward, simply corrects, ] Humans are the ones that look a little bit like me compared to something like you, sure, but I'm a full blooded vampire through and through.

[ She said, exposing her fangs. Additionally, her red-ish eyes have the pupils change, becoming more cat-like for a moment ]

[A vampire? Judy might not even believe that if she weren't seeing the evidence for herself. She can't quite help her ears from drooping somewhat, nose twitching rapidly as she tries to think of a response.

Whatever the case, this person isn't in her good graces. Not at all.]

Human, vampire...either way, I will not tolerate violence. Whoever put together these rules might, but I won't stand for it.

And what, you're the queen here or something?

[ Seriously, you're like! ... Small!

Elda might not necessarily disagree but at this point she's still insulted to be called a human ]

[Sorry, you all...kind of look the same to her. Classing you as a human is just for sake of ease at this point.]

[ That said, looking at her closer, that does look like a uniform ]

[Judy's gaze narrows, her right foot rapidly thumping the ground briefly.]

I got to where I am through hard work and dedication. More work than most animals would put in.

But since when to animals do anything like become coppers anyway? Like even if you were a crocodile or a hippo, no one's ever seen a talking animal before!

[ Or at least she hasn't ]

I've never seen a human- or vampire- before, so I guess we are even, aren't we?

[ Wait what- ]

I'm from a place where humans don't exist.

And then Elda's eyes go wide (oops they were already) and she runs her hands through her hair, freaking out a little ] Wait, wait, there's like other storybook worlds now?! With rabbits and he can take people from there too?!

I'm not from a storybook!

[Judy exclaims, a bit of a laugh in her words.]

I'm from just your average, everyday, normal earth. A normal earth where there are just animals like there always have been.

Normal Earth is one where there's way too many humans and there's vampires as well!
