You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here. Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now. Maybe you should have a window in the first place. This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out. Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring. If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building. Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems. But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this. Welcome to Chronos University.

[Watanuki reaches up to touch his hair, trying to feel if it's weird or anything. But nope, it's the normal length and everything.]

It doesn't feel wrong to me. I don't go to a barber anyway, my landlady cuts it. Why?

[Yeah he's not so bothered by the presence of a talking fox. He's seen them before, this isn't weird at all to him.]

[It's kind of hilarious how many of these animals have been confused or offended by Nick's remark.. maybe it's just something they're born with? Like sphynx cats or naked rodents or something.. poor guys.]

Because! Most animals are, y'know, covered ear to claw with fur but you guys seemed to miss out on that decision when your species were made. I mean I've seen animals that are completely shaved, but not only partially.

[...actually, now that he thinks about it.]

So, what kind of animal are you?

[Now Watanuki gets what Nick means.]

Actually, we do have hair everywhere. Look:

[He'll roll up the sleeve on his kimono and step forward a step, holding up his arm so Nick can get a closer look. There's tiny hairs there, but they're very small and very light, so much so that they can't be seen unless someone's really close.]

There's some humans- [like Varric, who is actually a dwarf but w/e] -who have darker and thicker hair everywhere. But most of us are like this. We've only got thick, visible hair on our heads, and sometimes on our faces.

[Nick does move very close to get a look, and well.. curiosity killed the cat. He reaches out to poke Watanuki's arm with one of the pads on his paw and lo and behold -- there is actually some fur there.]

...you humans get weirder and weirder by the minute.

If I hadn't heard that a hundred times before, I might be offended.

[Something about his tone says that he still is offended.

But regardless, he pulls his arm back and lets the sleeve of the kimono slide back down.]

I'm kinda surprised that you've never seen a human before now, though. Even the little kid fox at the oden shop had seen humans before meeting me.

Yeah, well it's my first time. Maybe they live in some underground civilization that we've yet to discover or something, but they're not walking the streets of Zootopia and I would've at least heard of them if they wandered any where else on the world.
