WEEK 1.
Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open. While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
kitchen
... Heating stuff up? Smells sweet. Gold'll clomp in noisily so he doesn't startle her.]
What've you got there?
no subject
She looks notably much more animated than she's been at all here.]
Pastries! Cream puffs specifically, I just wanted to try them but now...!
[she's going to eat the whole stock]
no subject
[a Snort. oh buddy.]
Move over, Hanyuu, I'll make you some real ones! I ain't too bad a cook, you know? Lemme show off my skills!
no subject
You can cook them? Aah...! I would love that, thank you very much! It's been centuries since I've made anything, but I promise to study diligently and return the favor!
no subject
I can cook a lotta things! But yeah, I ain't too shabby at makin' sweets, it'll take about an hour if you're willin' to stay here with me.
[... which we can kind of handwave as they talk and stuff instead or w/e because cream puffs]
no subject
Absolutely, most assuredly! [...she almost looks to stand on her tiptoes and then just- stops, you know, weird things to do with a physical body] Thank you, Gold, I'll watch carefully.
no subject
Let's cook!!]
So I'm guessin' you haven't made anything since you died?
no subject
[...is it okay if she just eats another reheated cream puff i mean they shouldn't go to waste]
no subject
What kept you from cookin' before then?
no subject
[...okay there's a lot more to that but it's the easiest answer]
no subject
Did you eat the offerings people left you?
no subject
It's how I got a taste for sweets.
no subject
[Because he is the best friend who knows what Silver likes. And needs.]
Do you remember the kinds of foods you used to eat? When you were still a demon, I mean.
no subject
[...and she's not going to press that even though look they have all seen the way those two interact-]
What I ate actually was rather normal for humans of the time. Rice, fish, miso, beans, tofu, sometimes rarer meats, whatever vegetables could be grown at the time. Particularly steamed raddish. ...It's funny, I remember clearer now than I have in decades. Maybe being solid has something to do with it.
no subject
How about I make you some of that too then, huh? That's the kinda stuff I'm used to eatin' myself anyway, so it'll be nice to get some home cookin' done! I'll give you a taste of Johto.
no subject
Aah, au, you don't have to! I mean- only if it wouldn't be any trouble, I would love to try your home's food!
[Isn't this doing too much for her though??]
no subject
[This is doing the right amount for him, but he's also very... himself, so.]
no subject
no subject
You got it, ma'am! You won't be hearin' me complain any, especially not about food from a cute god like yourself.
no subject
[by the way how are those cream puffs going gold]
