WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open.

While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

APPRENTICES REMAINING: 30

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
sportadork: (I must go)

[just casually sittin' on the counter. kickin' his legs. eatin' an apple. watchin' the fancy man makin' foods. totally normal.]

Is something wrong? [because you notice things. staring rudely at people.]
avoidcomplications: (well-versed in etiquette)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-24 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[why is this his life now. he hates everything about this.]

...It's nothing. A relatively minor problem next to everything else.
sportadork: (and I'll be your dog)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-24 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Even a minor problem is still a problem. If it's bothering you, it's important.
avoidcomplications: (caviar and cigarettes)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-24 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[you can not be serious, sir.]

...I haven't been able to cut my nails since before we wound up here. It's irritating, but hardly on the level of the constant absurd threat of death.
sportadork: (I'm shaking like it's dark)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-24 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[he seems to be seriously thinking about it, anyways.]

Hm... Have you tried filing them down with something? I'm not very sure what can be used for that... But, there has to be something!
avoidcomplications: (built-in remedy for kruschev and kennedy)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
They tend to grow a little too fast for filing to be very efficient, but I may have to if this continues. That's not a terrible idea.
sportadork: (forever I can hope)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Glad to help!

[beat] Do they really grow so fast?
avoidcomplications: (built-in remedy for kruschev and kennedy)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
It varies. Occasionally, I go through periods where it's surprisingly quick.

[Kira held up one hand to illustrate the point; elegant concert pianist fingers ended in well-kept nails that were just long enough to look out of place.]

I suppose that's the only peculiar thing about me, come to think of it.
sportadork: (were all born rich)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Very peculiar... In a good way, of course! I have never seen this before!

... Have you ever tried growing them out? Do they stop? Could you use them to pick up things? [he won't stop this is really cool]
avoidcomplications: (to avoid complications)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
[NO WHY, STOP NOTICING HIM]

I don't care to let them grow enough to find out. Ordinarily I cut them every morning, but I haven't been able to do that.

[Which, to listen to him talk, sounds like the Worst Fate Ever(tm)]

sportadork: (and what could I say)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
[HAHA LOOK AT THAT HIGH WAISTED MAN HE'S GOT FEMININE HIPS]

If you grew them out, you could go like this! [he kinda. makes a cat's paw shape with his hand. you know. like nya.]
avoidcomplications: (well-versed in etiquette)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
[NO THAT'S THE THING I'M SENSITIVE ABOUT]

...Why would I do that.
sportadork: (and from this moment)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[... you know that is an excellent question.]

It might be fun! [nya]
avoidcomplications: (caviar and cigarettes)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
I really don't think so.

[why this.]
sportadork: (blowing through the tree)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't hurt to try!
avoidcomplications: (extraordinarily nice)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
I suspect you and I have different definitions of 'fun' to begin with.
sportadork: (but I got a lot of heart)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
What do you think is fun?
avoidcomplications: (built-in remedy for kruschev and kennedy)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-25 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I like music, the occasional movie...the kinds of things anyone might enjoy.
sportadork: (I'm shaking like it's dark)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-26 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[... man that is such. a boring way to put it...]

Those are very fun things! [...] Do you like anything else?
avoidcomplications: (to avoid complications)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-01-29 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
...Not particularly, no. Why?
sportadork: (and I know I can do you proud)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-02-04 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I was just wondering if you had any particular hobbies! [like stamp collecting] I like sports, for example.
avoidcomplications: (she never kept the same address)

[personal profile] avoidcomplications 2017-02-04 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
...I never would have guessed.

[sportacus is not the only person in this room whose hobby is implied by his name]

But I'm afraid I just don't have much in the way of general hobbies.
