WEEK 1.
Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open. While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

Why are you even in here? You don't eat food, right?
no subject
That's right! I can't eat your food.
[ Or well, she can.
It just doesn't taste like anything and offers no nutritional value. So it's hard to get down ]
no subject
How often do you need to eat?
[That could become a problem, couldn't it.]
no subject
[ She sighs. ] You look stringy though, kid, don't worry about it.
[ It's true that the kid would not normally be her type (probably), but she also didn't need to be nice to him, given the context. Maybe it's just her being old. (well, "nice" - she did insult him ]
no subject
[...He was definitely considering it, though. It feels like the right thing to do, but he just doesn't trust her enough for something like that, and the last thing he needs in here is to be low on blood.]
no subject
[ Because who would.
She even smiles a little for it, even if it's like.
No... ]
no subject
[...Is that really fair, though? She really would starve to death. But he definitely can't trust her. She'd definitely kill him. She threatened to kill him for speaking up about her... Well, that just means that she's being cautious like he is, but that doesn't mean that she isn't- ugh, now's the worst time to have a conscience.
He shakes his head.]
I guess I could spare a little if you really needed it.
[He tugs at his gloves.]

She is left speechless for just a moment.
But ... ]
no subject
Don't go offering things that make you tremble, kiddo.
no subject
...I don't trust you. It's not just you, either. I don't really trust anyone in here.
[Except Gold, but that goes without saying.]
But it's not right for anyone to go hungry, either.
[Maybe honesty is the best policy here.]
no subject
She hates humans. She will kill this kid (not even just could, not even just might - if Wordsmith continues to hold back her ability to erase memories, she will to keep her family safe) and yet in this moment-
She laughs, brushing the back of her head, suddenly feeling bashful. ]
You don't even trust that boy-toy of yours? He might be stupid, but that's harsh!
[ She changed the subject ]
no subject
Boy-toy?
[No comment on how stupid Gold is, because he really is a god damn idiot.]
no subject
[ Matter of factly ]
no subject
Are you talking about Gold?
no subject
[ ZING ]
no subject
[Although he still seems a little confused.]
Besides, Gold likes girls.
no subject
Seriously?
no subject
no subject
[ . . . ]
no subject
[You absolute fucking walnut-]
no subject
What's more pressing for you, kid?
no subject
[And that's about all he really feels like sharing on the matter.]

[ She pats him on the shoulder.
... She has to stretch to do it, getting on the tips of her (shoeless) toes ]
For now though, the Brat's still yours, right? He wouldn't want you all anemic, if he's counting on the blood going up or down on your body.
no subject
[Gold probably wouldn't want him wiped out, but if he did a good thing, it's probably okay? He definitely got lost at some point here.]
