WEEK 1.
Now that you've had a chance to yell at the Wordsmith, one thing is very clear. He wasn't lying. There's no escape from this place. You can explore all you like, but there aren't any ways to leave. It seems like there isn't much to do but settle in and get to know your fellow Apprentices. You're free to go wherever you'd like for the most part, but come 10PM the doors to the kitchen and the mail room will shut and lock and nothing you can do will get them to open. While you might be tempted to sleep in, you'll find that the clock in the foyer goes off every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM without fail. You'll be able to hear it no matter where you are; it seems it's being broadcast over the PA system. You're welcome to go back to sleep after you hear it, but surely you don't want to spend the whole day in bed? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
Laundry Storage
[ Elda is a vampire and therefore has a particularly keen sense of smell. It seems a little dulled here, but she can still smell this chemical mixing from her room, among other places. And this is why, not knowing who's up to what, she's barging in here, claws drawn. ]

[Turning around, Varric gave an almost irritated look, before his expression softened at the sight of Elda. The claws were both new and frightening, but as far as he was concerned, the woman was a friend.]
Just working on an experiment, Fang. Don't mind me. [An experiment that he quickly set to mopping up.]
no subject
She grounds to let up on that, instead pinching her nose with that same hang ]
Well it's hard not to mind when you can smell it a mile off!
[ They can't even move an actual mile in here. Figure of speech ]
no subject
You want out of here, don't you? [Not that he was making much progress on that front. He could still bluff like nobody's business, though.] The right combination of this stuff might be the key to blasting our way out.
no subject
So you're making a bomb or some acid to melt the walls?
no subject
[This was a hopeless endeavor though. After making sure his experiment was mostly cleaned up and good to return to later, he stood and shuffled toward the door, motioning for Elda to follow.]
no subject
[ As she follows, easily.
Shoeless. ]
no subject
That's code for "not good," Fang.
no subject
[ SIGH.
So where they going? ]
no subject
Trunk doesn't seem nearly strong enough to knock down these walls. [He leaned against one and knocked on it to prove his point.]
no subject
[ So worth a shot basically.
... The smell is still strong from here but it's better. Still holding her nose ]
no subject
[He glanced up in the direction of her face, biting back a laugh as he did.]
You want to go somewhere else?
no subject
no subject
Anything worthwhile would have happened immediately. Besides, I could use a break.
no subject
You know what. ]
Okay. So what's your plan now? Shame we don't have cards or anything.
no subject
[He winked up at the woman.]
no subject
[ Huff.
... But it is something to do. ]
no subject
[He turned without listening to her response, aiming for the library.]
no subject
[ But fine, that really does sound fun. She smiles, getting behind him at a brisk pace. Let's go to the library, maybe she can find that Broom Stroker guy again ]
no subject
I ever tell you about the Dalish werewolves?
no subject
Nope! Or at least, I don't remember it.
[ He's told her a few stories just in them talking earlier, but they have only known each other a few days, so. Not a lot of time.
... Maybe it was a rhetorical question ]
no subject
Historically, humans where I'm from haven't been the greatest of people, especially not to elves. A group of people killed the son of one of their leaders, and eventually led to the death of his daughter. In retribution, he bound a spirit to a wolf, and cursed them to live as wolves through its bite.
no subject
[ She laughs at that. Man, what a story this is already beginning as ]
no subject
The descendants begged for mercy, but when the man, who was made immortal by the curse, refused to listen, they switched methods. Bit and attacked members of the man's clan, until the man was forced to address the problem.
no subject
... Maybe she's not the right person for it, at least with as fanciful of stuff as elves. Still, she hums, listening as she is sort of leafing through a book looking for a fun passage ]
He set up a curse that could affect his own clan?
[ She was okay with that vengeance in the first place even if it was silly just by nature of the idea of elves existing (sorry Varric) but that's... ill thought out ]
