[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.



Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.

After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

[Lusamine not being there actually surprises Judy for reasons she can't explain. Like, maybe she's just shocked that someone like Kimbley came when she didn't.

So once she has a free moment, she slips away to head back to her room, just to make sure she's alright. You know...considering what just happened.

Lusamine will hear a soft, padded sounding sort of knock on her door.]

Miss Lusamine?

[Huh. Another visitor isn't something Lusamine was expecting, and Lusamine's almost opened the door before she thinks to ask who it is. Ugh. Did today teach her nothing?

...But the voice seemed lower to ground level this time, at least, so Lusamine opens the door a little easier and looks down with a smile.]

Oh, Judy? Is everything alright?

[officerhops]

Oh, yes...I just wanted to make sure you were okay. Just in case, you know.

[More like she's double checking, doing a silent headcount of her own.]

...I have no intention of letting something like that happen to me.

[That's her main takeaway from that, at least.]

But...thank you. I appreciate your concern never the less.

[Considering the fact that she's a cop...she can only imagine how Judy's taking this.] What about you?

[Judy nods, just a little. She feels awful that that even has to be a concern, but...you know.]

I'm doing as well as I can. Trying to keep checking up on the others. Some of them are taking this very hard.

Some people have not had to experience such a thing happen to them. It's a shock to the system, and not one that's easily recovered from. And we may very well not get that chance, if this keeps up...
