i'll wait, so show me why you're strong
[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.

Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.
After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

Yeah, okay. Knock, knock.]
Hey, Madame Prez? I made some hot chocolate. It turned out okay-ish? I mean, I liked it.

I'll take a cup if you're offering. [...Very tired.] Get in here for a moment, too. I have some cookies that Miss Vanille gave to me earlier left.
[They have some Shit to discuss.]

[He hands the cup over and fires off a somewhat lazy salute, then closes the door behind him as he walks in.]
So, yeah. Strategy meeting, I guess?
this is probably gonna go into spoilery territory so markin'
Of sorts. Really, I don't know what I expected.
[Certainly not Kyrie to strike first, that's for sure.]
And...whatever that creature was. Really, what on earth was that?
no subject
It definitely wasn't any of that. I mean, even I was expecting one of the loud, violent ones to go first.
[...then again, you never know what you're getting with big business types...]
...and yo, I have no clue. It kind of reminded me of like, all the legends people have about Gengar kicked up to eleven and even more messed up.
no subject
[People are strange when you don't know them, god.]
...It really does. But...really, I wonder just what kind of creature it is. It didn't seem like anything I have ever heard of, but if the Wordsmith has it under his control...
[...]
It's suffering. It absolutely must be.
no subject
[...he's. he's sure he can keep a "what the fuck are you on" look off of his face.]
So we'll... be figuring out how to get that thing to not eat us so we can take it home. Yeah. I guess.
no subject
[Good thing he did, because that gets vigorous nodding from Lusamine.]
Of course. I imagine that a creature like that will be hard to communicate with, but you don't get anywhere by contemplating your navel. Perhaps if I can convince the Wordsmith to bring one of our experiments to us, we'll be able to capture it...
[Who knows what kind of opprotunities this could present. Really, Lusamine almost seems giddy at the prospect.]
no subject
...and. Uh. I mean, getting literally anywhere with the Wordsmith sounds like the hard part there, especially since you're trying to steal something that's probably his. I mean, righteously so. Like, the good stealing. Liberating. But you know.
no subject
[Lusamine shakes her head quickly.]
I don't need him if he's unwilling to assist. If worst comes to worst, I'll see if I can find a way into that room and hop into the center of the podiums. That would surely lure the beast out, and I could go from there.
[...said like, you know, this is a totally sane idea and not a one way ticket to getting consumed by the shadowblob.]
no subject
[...how does he respond to this.]
Okay. But like.
[...]
You know. Um. It might be better to... figure out how it thinks first...?
no subject
What is there to figure out? It's probably just like any other Pokemon.
no subject
[............................]
I'm just saying, it might be a little... different, given all the stuff I've heard about the things that are like Pokemon but not.
no subject
[Can't be that hard, just gotta find a way to bungee jump down or some shit.
Totally sane plan.]

It'll be best if I do this without his help. He isn't going to want to let go of that creature willingly anytime soon.
[And if you want a job done right? Sometimes you gotta do it yourself.]

I'll consider it.
[That's the most he's getting out of her, and even then, it's...]
But the objective is clear from this point onward. We are taking that creature back with us.
