WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead. Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 28

Yep, I did. It was me arriving in a certain citadel.

[ And there are certainly quite a few citadels...so, yeah. ]

What about you? I assume you remembered something as well?

Yep.

It wasn't exactly pleasant.

Well, do you want to talk about it?

I've told a few people that this has happened to me once before.

[Minus the "once", most of the time.]

That may have been a mistake.

Ah...I'm sorry to hear that.

[ He wonders about her words-- either it's a mistake because it was too much information or there was another reason for that. ]

Do you want to elaborate on why that may have been a mistake?

Because based on what I remember, it's happened to me twice before.

[Unfortunately, it's the second one.]

...Twice? How did someone to manage to do something like this more than once?

[ Mikazuki supposed that this would be the third time, which is not necessarily a good thing. ]

Probably lots of sleeping gas. It also helped that it was different people.

My, that's quite inconvenient.

I suppose that makes an argument for those behind it to be part of the same organization plausible?

Considering the circumstances, that's also impossible.

[ Why can't things be a little easier for once? Oh well, he supposes that is just how it is. ]

Hmm... I guess that makes sense. That would be make the mystery easier to solve, of course.

And I'm going to solve it, no matter what I have to do.

[There's so much depending on her. And her... coworkers, kind of?]

I plan to do the same.

[ Mikazuki is pretty sure he is still new to the 'solving things' business and his skills in figuring things out (see: scouting) can be rather ... dubious, but he'll try!! ]

Sitting around and doing nothing is not an option, after all.

Well, technically it is but it's kind of unappealing for now.

[Both for this and for the second time, which she still knows almost nothing about herself...]

Yes, I guess it's true. Normally doing nothing but take in the days to come isn't necessarily too bad, but in a situation like this it's not too great.

[ Mikazuki knows one or two people who'd consider that a valid option though. Maybe. ]

It is odd how much time the Wordsmith is giving us, compared to Zero Sr... or Zero II.

[tsugomori]

How much time were you normally given by those "Zero" people?

[ He assumes they assumed the same role as the Wordsmith did. ]

[plentyfriendly]

It varied under Zero Sr., but Zero II seems to be operating on a strict schedule of 90 minutes awake at a time my fellow captives and I can do whatever we'd like with.

[Curious, that.]

Were you ever told or learned why there was such a really strict schedule?

[plentyfriendly]

I understand what Zero Sr. was doing, at least. What they needed in order to accomplish their goal was pressure.

[Like. Mental pressure.]

[tsugomori]

Hmm, I see...

[ ... ]

Were it not for that thing being brought in during that execution, I'd say that it could be one of their goals for the people who kidnapped us here too.

[plentyfriendly]

To cause us all stress? Well, they've succeeded at that at least a little bit.

[She's only kind of succeeding at hiding the gigantic responsibility she's got.]

But I don't think that could be the end goal.
