WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead.

Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all.

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether.

Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week.

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
oyashiromama: arms around you (the seaweed that wrapped its)

mail room

[Hanyuu hasn't much of a need for this place, but maybe she'll try a letter, sometime- and she comes across Phi, with her bottle of hair dye.]

Did you just pick that up here? Where did it come from?

[She thought the only outside things were from the vending machine?]
plentyfriendly: (phi$_)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-01 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Most likely, the Wordsmith sent it for me. I can't think of any other explanations.

[The label kind of indicates that much, at least.]
oyashiromama: so the sun wouldn't notice (the sea said goodbye to the sun)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-02 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
From him? [That's a surprise.] Why? How did he know to?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ vim decrease)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-02 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well... I tried asking.
oyashiromama: (and they call me under)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-02 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm mostly surprised he agreed.
plentyfriendly: and not as like a model viewer feature or something like that (phi$ query room.gif)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-02 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I did make a case, so it's not that much of a shock...
oyashiromama: (i feel it break my skin)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-03 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
What did you say to him? ...Aah, if you don't mind my asking, maybe you know how better to speak with him.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ man -k axiom)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-03 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I sent a letter asking for it, saying it might be inconvenient for my actual appearance not to match that picture of me hanging in the foyer.

[It was blunt, straight, and to the point.]
oyashiromama: in this concrete jungle (the cat's silhouette as big as a monster)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-04 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Appeal to- ...aah, pragmatism. [She winces a little. Kyrie's title...] I guess if there were any way to communicate with him, that must be it, yes?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ vim decrease)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-04 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'd call it more of an appeal to rationality, but that is more or less what I was thinking.

[And it worked, so she might try again if this runs out.]
oyashiromama: (i'll see you when i fall asleep)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-04 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well... Good job- Phi, was it? [They haven't really spoken.] Perhaps you'll be more fortunate than the rest of us in getting information from him.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ whoami)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-04 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe, but given how many of us really want to knock him down several pegs I doubt he'll talk.

[That includes her, even!]

And yeah, that's right. You were... the one with the extremely long name, right? What do you want me to call you?
oyashiromama: are full of your stories (the books i keep by my bed)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-04 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Aah, that is true... I wouldn't expect him to, given our circumstances.

[Everyone hates the Wordsmith lbr]

And I am Hanyuu. You may just call me that, no one's used that name in many centuries.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ grep -a solve pzldb)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-04 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. He'll decide when to tell us about himself.

[But he will. She knows this will happen. Not absolutely, but that's her belief.]

Hanyuu, then. Sounds even more Japanese than the long one...
oyashiromama: out of feathers‚ out of bones (in the spring we made our homes)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-04 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
My full name actually isn't Japanese- at least, not traditionally. It may share some similarities with the language, but that's entirely coincidental, I promise you.
plentyfriendly: (phi$_)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-04 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
That makes sense. Only parts of it looked that way, so...

[She knows enough of it to know that it doesn't have a "je" phoneme. Or equals signs for punctuation, at least outside of anime names.]

oyashiromama: (i feel it break my skin)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-04 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
It's an easy mistake to make, no one could ever really pronounce it otherwise.

[Which, honestly, can you blame them?]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ vim decrease)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-04 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd almost say no one could pronounce it regardless...
plentyfriendly: (phi$ grep -a solve pzldb)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-05 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Huh.

[She was almost right the first time. If only her tongue hadn't choked.]
oyashiromama: (so uninviting)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-05 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
It just looks intimidating. A-and sounds intimidating.
plentyfriendly: (phi$_)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-05 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
In my experience there's no way to make a name sound more intimidating than adding "the Third" to the end of it.

[or III, to taste. Same thing really.]
