WEEK 5 Angela Ziegler, Nicholas Wilde, and Judy Hopps were all punished. Zolf J Kimbley was killed and Gold was executed. Five deaths in one week, the most you've seen so far. Will this ever end? Your number is rapidly dropping. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Those checking to see whether another door in the stairwells leading downward have been opened will see that once again, you've been rewarded with a new floor; perhaps it's a shame that so many people had to die in order for you to receive it. Or perhaps it's a blessing from a certain point of view, given what almost happened on Thursday night; after all, your number could be much, much lower. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 18

[ Well, it was the start of the new week already, and Mikazuki had decided to go ahead to go down to the dojo at some point, possibly hoping to engage someone in some stress relieving (or competitive just-for-fun) combat! He managed to come right in here as Gangrel is doing all those acrobatic maneuvers. ]

Ah, hello Gangrel. Do you have some time to spend on us doing a friendly spar?

[See, you get him, Mikazuki. Gangrel lands easily and turns his attention when he's addressed.]

Of course I have time for that! I got an extra one of those swords, if you want to borrow that!

[They're useless in a real fight, but for training they're not all that bad.]

[ ...Going fist to fist is all well and good, but swinging a sword around (even if its ineffective in actual combat lmao) is where its at, and something he can do better than anything else he put his mind to. ]

I would love to. Ahh, it has been awhile...but--

I hope you are prepared.

[ He'll have picked up one of those extra blades lying around, and even though it's not a tachi, it'll do. ]

[ HANDWAVED BATTLES make things easier honestly!!

Let's go for a stalemate for the conclusion if that's alright... either way, by the end of it, Mikazuki probably had to take a bit to recover, but happened to look a little. Well, lively, despite the fact they had just finished up the battle. ]

You don't hold back, do you?

[ He sounds pleased too? He's very much pleased. ]

[That works!! Anyway, Gangrel takes a seat on the mats once he's done, laughing a little breathlessly.]

Of course I don't! If I held back I'd never get any better! I fight with everything I have!

[ Mikazuki will finally sit down too, even if it's on the dojo floor... although regret a little that he didn't bring some tea again, but there's always later. ]

Ahh, I'm glad, it helps make the battle quite fun.

...And it is just as I thought:

A normal fist fight doesn't quite compare to a spar with swords after all, am I right?

Do I look like I can fight with my fists?

[He wiggles his fingers at Mikazuki to show off his nails. He would absolutely break one if he tried to punch someone. Besides, you can't fight unarmed in FE:A!!!]

There's nothing that's better than swordfighting! I'm glad you agree!

[ Mikazuki says pointedly (get it, because pointy fingernails... okay no) even after Gangrel's wiggled his fingers at him. Although clearly it's in jest... ]

Yes, and speaking of swordfighting, I remember having quite a dream about it last night. Although this one ended in victory. Did you have a good dream too?

[Good to know that you think he isn't totally useless without a weapon...??]

What was your dream about? Who were you fighting?

[Yeah, there was a question there but uh. He doesn't really want to talk about it right now.]

[ Mikazuki has noticed, and for a moment, he's certainly worried, but he decides that it may help if he talks more about what happened in his dream anyway. So, he'll start from the beginning... ]

Well, in this dream, I had been sent into another sortie with a couple of my comrades in order to halt the History Revisionists from changing history once more. They were lying in wait, and this was... ah, towards the end of the Edo period. We were ambushed and I became concerned over Kogitsunemaru's performance in battle, because he was rather new to it. Luckily, my concern was misplaced and he, including the rest of us performed well.

After that it rained, and it seems we were given shelter by what we concluded to be fox spirits. It was a rather interesting dream...a good one at that.

...Your life sounds unbelievable, but I suppose most of our lives sound like that!

[It's fascinating, really. How can everyone be from such different worlds?]

So tell me about your allies. Who all do you work with?

Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Yamatonokami Yasuada, Aizen Kunitoshi, Akashi Kuniyuki, Akita Toushirou, Kogitsunemaru, Ugusuimaru, Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Ishikirimaru...

[ And he lists about let us say 40~ or so more swords because lord almighty I am not going to type all of those names. ]

Ah, and of course the Troops and Master themselves.

Kogitsunemaru is about as tall as you I think, but he has white long hair and fox ears on his head. Ugusuimaru likes to drink tea and we often talk and look out at the beautiful scenery all day long when we're not sent on sorties. Ishikirimaru is quite the pious sort so I don't think you'd like him much. Tsurumaru is a troublemaker and likes to play pranks or surprises on people; sometimes it's fun to help him do that too so I suppose I don't help much in that regard.

Iwatooshi is a bit like you but four inches taller, and louder when he laughs. But he reminds me of you the most, besides the whole vengeance thing. But he's a naginata, which may be more close to a spear and is a polearm rather than a sword...

My Master is quite the recluse. They don't like to come out of their room at all or go anywhere if they can help it. They're quite kind though, I assure you.

I don't think I can pronounce any of those names.

I've never used a spear before or a... nagi... nagin— that.

Hahaha, naginata? It's probably just as well, though. I can't imagine you using a spear, for whatever reason.

[ Mikazuki can't help but smile... ]

Oh, and you could always use nicknames for them. Like for example, with Kogitsunemaru it can be 'little fox' or something like that.

Either way, all of them are quite reliable. I don't think I'd have to worry about them going astray or anything.

You think they're fine while you're here, then?

[Mikazuki doesn't seem like the sort of person who would kill, but...]

[ With the right motive he'd lop someone's head off-- I mean what. ]

Yes. But even if my fellow brethren weren't, I couldn't afford to worry too much about them. Even if one or two defected or broke. The citadel would always remain safe.

[ His master is a different story, but he doubts they're in any danger. Though if everyone, including the citadel were in danger...well he's not been thinking about the possibility. ]

...Good to know. You always seem so calm, it'd be strange if anything started to irritate you.

[That's Gangrel for "I can't imagine you killing anyone but I also can't take anything for granted here, so don't kill anyone or I might have a feeling". It's a complicated language.]

[ Then he turns to face Gangrel with a supposed angry looking face but it looks like a cross between him about to laugh and a pout. ]

You're the first person here to see my really angry face! How does it look?

[He sounds like he's trying to be annoyed, but he really can't manage it.]

You're damned lucky I tolerate you enough to put up with this!
