LET'S MAKE THE ACADEMY'S WALLS OUR CANVAS.

[At the appointed time, when those interested walk into the art studio, they'll see that holy shit, Guzma got a lot of paints out of the storage room and put them all over the tables. There's a lot of stuff there, ready for everyone to grab and spread out all over the academy and paint all over everything.]

[...So something that hasn't been addressed this week is Hanyuu is so not here for normal clothes this week, so she'll be wandering the halls in her Team Skull tank and school uniform pants. It looks ridiculous and really helps put together the vandal vibe.

She's never...used spray paint before...but she wanders about, not really making a lot of pictures, but rather random lines, in white or black or blue.

In the foyer however, she's spraying a few things, on the wall where...actually, where Kageshirou was last week. They are a few kanji, all in black.]

I think I know at least two of them. [She points to the middle, getting up next to Hanyuu and crouching down... which isn't necessary because she's shorter, but hey ] You'd read this second one "Shi" and the last on "Rou," probably referring to a history and a servant respectively, right?

Mm! The "rou" has so many meanings, but of course you would go to servant. "Son" or "follower" or "vassal."

[But as for that first one-] That is "Kage," like shadow. Easy, right? In this order, it would usually be read as "Kei" but with names you can be a little creative, you know?

tbh I've had that in normal games sometimes.

Keishirou does sound a lot more like a name, though.

It does...but Kage works better, in this case. It's shadow, like what this creature is made of. [She looks a little thoughtful.] I...have started to reconsider which kanji to use, though, for the "Shi" and the "Rou."

The first and last are the same but the middle one... There are so many ways to write "Shi."

Well, maybe we could do something with bats? Or if there's some notable local animal for Hinamizawa... Perhaps down on the second floor?

Aah... Well, Hinamizawa is quite full of higurashi, a species of evening cicada. I'm fond of the noise they make.

"Intention" or "motives" ...or "hope." Kanji that can mean multiple things...are the most interesting, for me.

For the second... In the letter Alani wrote me, that's...how it showed up. I'm sure it was a translation error. Where she wrote it as Kageshiro instead of Kageshirou. [The difference probably not noticeable to one unfamiliar with Japanese.] ...But it was...interesting. Those two kanji next to each other.

"Shadow." "White."

It's alright, for a non-native speaker it must be difficult. Had I grown up only learning the Ryuun's language, it would likely be difficult for me as well.
