romance and murder go so well together
[ If the colorful posters from Tuesday weren't enough, Yato has redoubled his efforts for today and slapped these up all over the place:

We are admittedly not entirely sure what the heck the catgirl is there for, but she's there. Anyway, in the dining hall this evening, Aqua and Yato have set things up for a group dinner!! All the food is being put on one table; the rest of the room is for mingling and is colorfully decorated in a way that suggests that Yato went wild in the art room at some point and decided what we all really need in our lives is more color and more glitter!!
There's also this piece of paper with everybody's names on it in pairs, and sets of questions (red tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet). That's right, your mystery game is speed-dating and Yato is here to be your cupid for the evening!! ]

The King thought this was just eating...! [ At least he's calmer that it's with Cherryblod. --A little. ]

It's alright, Your Majesty. You know I'm not interested in romance here, so it'll just be us getting to know each other. Is that okay?
no subject
[ What are normal friendships like
where you don't just absorb everything about the other???]no subject
How about... I ask you a question first, and if you don't want to answer it, that's perfectly fine. We're here to have fun, after all, not make people uncomfortable.

Alright, The King said. The King is ready.
no subject
[That should be easy enough.]
no subject
Now it is... The King's turn, is he right? The King will pick... 'Is there something that you've dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?'

[ --This almost feels redundant after he had the same conversation with Yato when he first got here, but. ]
The King is surprised, The Shrimp doesn't look that age at all.
no subject
Speaking of that, though, I've been wondering something about your age. You're twenty... plus five? How does that work?
no subject
[ But he does know he can't technically be called only twenty now either, right...? ]
Ah... maybe The King forgot his age, but The Bad Man was somehow able to remember for him.
no subject
[This is an adequate explanation.]
'What does friendship mean to you?'
no subject
The King answered: Friendship is... support when one feels like nothing can go right. Friendship is not being left behind.
... Friendship is being happy together.
no subject
Do you have friends like that here?
[He'd like to hope so. The people here are kind, murders aside.]
no subject
The King... is worried if they do not feel the same way? [ It's happened before... kinda... ]
no subject
no subject
Does... does The Shrimp truly think so?
no subject
Of course I do. So, you can at least be sure that we're friends.
no subject
[ NOW HE'S EMOTIONAL AGAIN. ]
What should The King say? Should The King merely say "thank you"...? Can he put it that simply?
[ He pauses, then firmly nods. ] Then... The King shall say it with certainty too. He and The Shrimp... are friends.

I'm glad to have made friends with you, Your Majesty.
