it's the ultimate showdown (of ultimate destiny)
Thursday.
The day that'd been so longingly awaited since the meeting on Monday by both combatants.
The tables in the dining hall have been pushed to the walls for seating, everyone's had a paper shoved beneath their door alerting to them to the evening event, and anyone who had any business there suddenly does not. Seriously, those papers are like littered everywhere, unless you're not coming there's no way you didn't know there was something tonight.
On one side of the room is Sigrun with her weapon of choice: a pike she got from the vending machine a little bit ago, practicing her handling of it with a grace that remarks upon her life of combat experience, a quiet seriousness to her that's rarely seen. Her focus is on the opponent on the other side, twenty or so feet away, the clinking gears ever rolling.
Colress and Klinklang are also concentrated on what's about to go down, the man talking quietly to his Pokémon, all too ready to show the strength of the creature off to Sigrun. They'd been becoming reused to each other, Colress learning just what his frankly new friend (at least in evolution) could do, since that challenge put forth by the woman, and it's with confidence that the three now face each other, the air heavy with anticipation.
Let's fight.

Let's fight.

[Yosuke jogs over, eyes huge]
That was intense!

It was! I had soooo much energy pent up and it felt so good it just let it out. Especially since last week no one took up the fight to the finish deal.
no subject
[He huffs, but his energy is still good, and he grins]
But spars are fine. You looked like you were having fun.
no subject
[They are much more useful to her intact. But listen. An Ursaring or something? Absolutely would go unarmed.]

... But honestly considering the world she's from she doesn't doubt there's just things around that require knives. So.] Tell me, tell me!
no subject
Look, it was weird okay?
[Not even getting into things like his OWN Shadow]
no subject
[... mostly... none of them have underwear... and none are machines... but the bottom line is that weird is what she's entirely too used to]
You're stronger than you look if you can fight those things. Mind if I take a shot at you too sometime? I'll lay you flat on your back.

[She will get Black into a dress if it kills her.]

[Let's start off there.]
If I win, we put you in one of those dresses the shrimp's got for a day. If you win... Well, you can decide that. How's about it?
no subject
[Well you left it in the open, Yosuke]
no subject
[She's pulling out something from a bag at her side to show him.
She's got the damn picture.]
I was told to do this fairly. So? Wanna lay your manhood on the line?

[FIGHT HIM]

That's the spirit, lazybones! [You get a nice hard part on the back.] I'll gladly take you down! I already have the shrimp on my list first, but I'll move you up one so we can get it done quick. Just let me know when you're ready to show off those legs of yours.
no subject
And I don't need a dress to show off my legs.
[LOOK HE MEANS HIS SICK BATTLE MOVES, SHUT UP?]
no subject
[aka just try it]
Or until one of us is unable to battle somehow. Like if I pin you down and you would've "died" in real combat. I'm fine with both styles.
no subject
[At least he's honest]
So I guess first blood is fine as long as we're careful.
[Bruce is gonna be so mad]

Embellishment and suicidal confidence is better though.]
Cool. I'm doing it that way with Cherry too, so it'll be fun to have a little warm up before I take on an ancient sea creature again.
[Juuust like home.]
no subject
Sounds good. Just let me know when and where and I'll be there.
no subject
ALSO I HOPE YOU TWO HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS OUT OF HIS FIELD OF HEARING BECAUSE OTHERWISE HE'S GIVING THE BOTH OF YOU VERY POINTED LOOKS RIGHT NOW.]
