WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

[Colress is having a bit of coffee while mulling his own puzzle when Megumi approaches. He looks up with a smile.]

Certainly, Miss Megumi. How can I help?

[Oh, wait.]

Ah, Colress, by the way. Excuse my failing to introduce myself sooner.

It's alright, Colress-san. I should have properly introduced myself sooner as well...

[She then holds up her own crossword that she's been working on]

Have you made any progress with the puzzle Misa-san gave us today?

Well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. There are quite a few of us- it's only natural that it would take time to properly get to know everyone.

[And regarding the puzzle...]

As a matter of fact, I have! [There is a good chunk of it completed from the looks of things.] Are you having difficulty answering a number?

[nod] There are a few that I still have yet to fill in, but... I'd rather not use the bulletin board to try to get the answers I'm looking for here.

[it's kind of creepy looking at all of that information being on display, you know?]

[Yes. Totally. Pretend he hasn't spent a while checking them out on multiple occasions.]

Would you like assistance, then? Perhaps we can work together.

[As far as he's concerned, it's a good thing for everyone to exercise their memory and knowledge.]

That sounds like a wonderful idea. I would appreciate any help that you could give.

[Upon being prompted, he scans his sheet for some particularly difficult to answer hints.]

Would you happen to know the answer to eighteen? I have yet to properly meet Mettaton, so the answer alludes me.

[Ah...] I must admit that I've yet to properly speak with him either, but... I think I remember him mentioning someone once, someone's whose name started with an A?

[But Megumi might not have been leaning in to hear it well enough because, well, eavesdropping is rude...]

Hmm, an A...

[He jots it down in the proper box.]

How fitting that it ended up being part of Mettaton's name from number seventeen. I suppose the full answer will have to elude us for now.

Why don't you toss a number my way this time?

[devastation]

Hm... I don't suppose you would know the answer for number five, would you?

[She doesn't know the King's real name, seeing as their feathered companion prefers to simply refer to himself as "the King"...]

Ah, that one I do know! While I haven't spoken with the King much either, I recall his profile stating his name- 'Kazuaki'.

[This conversation is telling him that he does need to talk with more people, though...]

"Kazuaki"... ah, I see...

[It's okay, Megumi's sort of getting that feeling too as she fills in Kazuaki's name--note to self, try to talk with The King more often...]

Are there any other numbers you still need the answers for, Colress-san?

Hmmm.

[He gives his puzzle a quick once-over.]

You know, there is one more that is nagging me. Would you happen to know number 6?

[...This is partially a joke.]

Ah... yes, I do know the answer to that one, actually...

[...But she isn't saying anything else, face turning a slight shade of pink now. Do you really need her to spell it out?]

[Oh wow, he wasn't expecting such a strong reaction! He can't help but laugh a little.]

I apologize, Miss Megumi. I was joking for the most part. I could only assume it was you since you seem to be the only teacher here.

I--it's okay, Colress-san, you don't have to apologize! I'm just... still a little surprised that Misa-san wrote that about us on here.

[the only people who ever call her cute tend to be her students... which, isn't really fitting of a proper teacher's image, she thinks.]

She's quite perceptive, isn't she? I do like her idea behind it it, though- it's good to keep our memory strong. And well, it is a good way for us to get to know one another in the process as well.

[But...yes, her opinions did shine through too, didn't they?]

Oh, I agree. I have to say that it's been very nice, in that regard.

[She's gotten to talk to more people here because of it...]

... It also helps pass the time too, I think. It's good to keep everyone busy, right?

[Even if it is just a crossword, but that's better than just sitting around and moping.]

Yes, exactly. It is a harsh reality, but sources of entertainment are sparse here. The books in the library can only get us so far...

[From the way he's frowning while talking about the library, he's obviously not too interested in the selection.]

But at least we have each other and each other's creativity, yes?

Agreed. It's... well, I don't want to say that I'm glad that you and everyone else are here, but I'm glad that none of us have to be alone in this place.

I completely understand, and I agree. It would be rather alarming to take on something like this alone.

[It's difficult for even Colress to imagine, especially since he's without his Pokemon to boot.]

I am sure with our combined efforts that we can figure out the mysteries surrounding this place and our...gracious host.
