WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

To start with... you're Gabriel-san, right? [or at least she's pretty certain that's his name] I'm sorry for not introducing myself sooner: I'm Megumi Sakura, and it's a pleasure to meet you.

[She bows, before she then holds up the crossword puzzle she has to let him take a look at.]

I've been working on this puzzle Misa-san gave us, but there are a few answers I'm having trouble with filling out... I don't suppose there's any on here that you might know the answer to?

Sure, let me take a look at it.

[He smiles, taking a long look at the crossword before his face suddenly brightens.]

Ah! You haven't got mine filled out. You want a hint?

[He's too nice to just give the answer away c:]

[One of these is him? Huh... it might be easy to figure it out based on seeing which boxes his name can fit into, but doing it that way wouldn't really be that fun, would it?]

Oh, absolutely! I would appreciate any hint that you could give us.

Y'should take a look at what my job is again according to the profile. Not the one no one can pronounce, the other one.

Oh, um... I guess I could do that, but...

[She frowns a little, unsure here.]

Well, alright... I just wanted to be sure, since... well, I know there are a few people here that seem to prefer not having people look at them.

[Or at least she's noticed that there were some people that were pretty uncomfortable about it on day one]

Yeah, I'm sure there are people uncomfortable with what's on their profiles, but really, I just find mine a little confusin'.

It says I hate werewolves, and someone named "Preiss". Pretty damn weird and confusin'.

Oh dear... I hate to ask, but do they have werewolves, where you're from?

Supposedly.

I've never seen one, though. There's probably a rational explanation for it.

Come to think of it, my profile is a little strange too. For some reason it mentions that I don't like "zombies", but... it seems like an odd thing to add, since they only exist in movies.

Isn't that weird?

Are you a fan of horror, by chance? I'm askin', 'cause I'm a horror author; I don't scare easily, so it's an odd thing to be listed as one of my dislikes.

No, I... don't usually read or watch things of that nature.

[That might be why "horror movies" were also listed under her dislikes...]

But I'm surprised: I didn't know that you were a writer, Gabriel-san.

Kinda strange. Well, maybe it just means you don't like horror. Probably a good an explanation as any, right?

I am a writer! My latest book is #20 on the New York Times bestseller list. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

[....yes, this is legitimately canon and not Gabriel making shit up.]

Oh my, that really is impressive!

[...even if Gabriel might be making that up, but what matters is that Megumi seems to believe him]

Are you working on any new books right now?

I was startin' to work on something before I arrived here, but but it wasn't much at all-- just a couple of sentences.

But it is a sequel to the last one I wrote! I've got this character, Blake Backlash, and he solves mysteries.

Ah, I see! [Despite not being a fan of horror, that does sound kind of interesting...

...and then she's looking at the crossword again and...]

...Oh, your name fits number 10 on here, doesn't it? [The horror author that doesn't like real life horror stories...]
