WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you.

Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

There are also two new posts for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
blastiarm: (POINT ❖ you're not flynn!!)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-02-29 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. So it's something we can't dismiss yet.

[someone stop them]
amygdalae: (I'm listening)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
[GUYS...]

Hallucinations do happen during sleep, and usually they're accompanied by sleep paralysis. [A pause. Does Mettaton even... get sleep paralysis?? Apparently there's magic involved in him, so--

Anyway.]

It also depends if its hypnogogic or hypnopompic.

[...yeah Bruce, you may be explaining this to the wrong people here.]
blastiarm: (NO ❖ especially this one)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
[......................]

Okay, so pretend for a moment that those words don't exist where I'm from and try again.

[MOST OF THEM DO EXIST, ZAGI]
amygdalae: what do you mean we can't have blueberries (could you say that again)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Hypnogogic hallucinations are ones that occur right before sleep, while hypnopompic hallucinations are ones that occur close to or right before waking up.

[He's used to dumbing things down for people, don't worry.]

From what I can see so far, it feels to be more of the latter - hypnopompic hallucinations are usually considered to be part of the 'dream' by most people who go through it, as compared to the former.
blastiarm: (HESITANT ❖ not according to keikaku)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, alright, so do you think that was a dream? Or is this all a massive dream we're all sharing, because I haven't ruled that out yet.
amygdalae: this is really not English (complicated explanation time)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
I highly doubt this can be a dream.

[Somewhat dryly.]

And I'm not entirely sure if we can conclude that as a mere dream too - there seems to be too many of us who share the same experience to treat it as just a dream.
blastiarm: (FUCK ❖ uh oh i hecked up)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
O...kay, so what can we say about that? Other than "it's something we all experienced"?
amygdalae: (oh look there's wally.)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
I think we can assume by that point we were already with the Kingmaker.

...I can't be fully certain, but at this point its still a hypothesis. [A rather far fetched one too... and he doesn't look like he likes it either.]
blastiarm: (STARE ❖ orrrr maybe you can)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. Well, if there's any way to prove that, that'd be nice. I don't know what to think about it. I don't know if we can believe anything he's said to us.
amygdalae: dun dun DUUUUN (we're not a team; we're a timebomb)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Hnnnn yeah. Being able to prove just about anything would be a very nice start.

Though, its not the first time he's had to settle for less, so Bruce will make do.]

There is that, too. [Looking a tad discomforted here.] What we really need at this point is any solid information.

[Something that they sadly lack right now.]
blastiarm: (WOW ❖ never mind i take it back)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. We're not gonna get it from the Kingmaker. Looks like we'll have to find some other source for information.
amygdalae: (oh look there's wally.)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
The best place I can see to get that would be the library, but well...

[It hasn't been very helpful so far.]
blastiarm: (AWAY ❖ his hair is naturally pink okay)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he's a step ahead of us. There's nothing useful in there.
amygdalae: you're speaking as if I even have one (you're asking me to make a choice?)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
I'm still trying to determine if it was deliberate or not.

[Which was why he asked the Kingmaker about the books, but clearly the Kingmaker wasn't going to give him any answers.

Kinda sucks, really.]
blastiarm: (WHATEVER ❖ but i could be fighting)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. We don't have any clues where we are, or even what world we're in. It's pretty damn annoying.
amygdalae: what do you mean we can't have blueberries (could you say that again)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
['Annoying' is putting it lightly.]

Not to mention contradictory. Why let us explore at all and even encourage it in the rules, but refuse to provide us with any sort of clues?
blastiarm: (UNSURE ❖ why does the dog have my moves)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, that was mentioned in the rules, wasn't it...? That seems pretty dumb. Why do that and then shut down all of our questions? Besides, there's nothing to explore here. Maybe if we could get access to the elevator we'd find something.
amygdalae: do not say that again in front of me. (not the smartest decision.)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
That would be incredibly helpful, but our captor seems to be anything but.

[And any attempt to open the doors comes to nothing, which makes it even more frustrating.]
blastiarm: (UGH ❖ yuri's not in the party??)

[personal profile] blastiarm 2016-03-01 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeeep. I have no idea what we can find out given what we have to work with. He's not going to be helpful so unless we find a way into the elevator, we're stuck.
amygdalae: well I can't have everything I want (should have gotten paid up front)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-01 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
There were some attempts yesterday-- [Or at least, something that was an attempt??] --but it didn't budge an inch. Whatever the doors are made of, they're highly durable.
