WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

This really is one of those end-of-the-world bunkers. I'm starting to think he actually thinks what he told us is true.

Thinking it's true and whether it actually is are two different things.

... It's worrisome, though.

[ She nods, taking a seat. ]

What all have you found? Are all of these boxes filled with survival gear?

Or things that would be useful in survival situations. Even if there's way too much rope to be of use in a bunker.

She takes one of the lengths of rope. ]

Unless the Kingmaker intends for us to use any of this for another purpose.

That's the thing, isn't it? If someone does decide to kill, we've got everything they need for it.

He really is serious about this.

[ She puts the rope back. ]

I wonder how many of us know about the items here.

There's not much we can see but the hallway and the rooms around it. Probably everyone's explored the whole place by now.

It's a small place, after all. [ ... ] I wonder if we should take inventory of the items here--just as a precaution.

Something like that, yes, and a count of all the items. It would take work--but I'm willing to take it upon myself.

We do have paper. It'd be a good idea.

There's no time like the present to start, then. Are you willing to help me? I'll understand if not.

It's better than not doing anything.

[ She digs through the boxes, withdrawing two notepads and pencils. She hands one of each over. ]

I'm Aqua, by the way. Thank you for your help.

[lackinginfaith]

[She takes them and starts writing things down.] Caren. The sooner we do this, we'll at least know more than we did.

[prismbloom]

It's nice to meet you, Caren.

[ She falls silent to work on her own list, pausing every so often to sift through the items in the boxes. ]

... I admire being prepared, but this is going a bit overboard.

[lackinginfaith]

Blankets, candles... Even if people decide they want to give up and live here forever, we'll have enough. I definitely don't want to do that, though.

[prismbloom]

Neither do I. No matter how well-supplied this place is, we're still prisoners.
