WEEK 1 As much as this sounds like a bad joke all around, it looks like one thing is being played completely straight: you're not going anywhere. After the Kingmaker has answered your questions (or, well, perhaps it's more accurate to say he didn't answer them, at least as far as most of those little Q&A sessions went), you'll be left up to your own devices – feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Survivors for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. And no, the robot cannot punch them in for you. Notably, though, starting bright and early on Monday morning (or maybe just early, since there aren't any windows) you'll be treated to the most unholy damn noise – it's very definitely an electric siren of some sort, probably some kind of klaxon, blaring out over the PA system. It only blasts once, but really, for something that loud, once is enough. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear it no matter what room you're in. There isn't any punishment for sleeping through it, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) SURVIVORS REMAINING: 27

I'll take turns with the bread, then. [She fills it up with four slices and leaves three untoasted on her plate.] Did you need to use it?

Not particularly. I made pancakes earlier - some should be left in the fridge.

Oh, for everyone? That's a good thought. We do need to eat.

If everyone knew how to cook for themselves, that wouldn't be an issue... I like cooking, but I don't want to be the only one.

Do we know how many people can't? I'll assume the people from the past who don't know the modern cooking implements. Or maybe that's just the one in the hat.

Yosuke's not very good at it, but I already offered to give him lessons, so hopefully that will change.

He didn't seem like the type to have underclassman girls making lunchboxes for him so he wouldn't have to bring his own lunch. Maybe his school's the type with a cafeteria?

Most likely, or perhaps his mother packs his lunch for him.

In that case, he'll definitely need help surviving in here. Even if a lot of these things are simple.

I'll do my best to make him a serviceable cook.

It's something to do in here, anyway. Most people seem to think we need to work together to get out, so...

If I thought cooking lessons were the way to do that, I'd be in the kitchen non-stop.

At the very least, we have to eat to live.

[The toast pops up and she switches it out for the untoasted bread, then starts putting jam on the toast there at the counter. She doesn't have much room on the plate with all that food.]

I know I'm not staying in here forever.

None of us are. That's for certain.

[He has confidence they'll get out - at some point.]

You really have that much faith in everyone, huh.

If I'm wrong, I'll deal with that when it happens.

I hope you're not, but I won't put too much faith in it myself.

That's fair. Not everyone can be optimistic.

It's just a lot to worry about.

I don't blame you, but I can't get too worked up over things before they happen. Doesn't do me any good.

Let's just hope nothing does.
