Judging from the amount of blood, it'd be a part of the body that has a lot of blood going through it, so a leg, a side, and the neck are all possible places. I've seen more than a few people mangled by trolls before.

Obviously anyone hit in the leg would have a limp and the neck is a kill zone, so it's the sides of the body, most likely with stabbing intent.
