he's not exactly sure why he decides sitting in front of the crack in the wall is a good way to spend part of the day. stop people from trying to attack it, or the darkness, and thus getting themselves killed? or maybe it's just kinda interesting to watch it. it's like a lava lamp except it's eaten people you love. so that's good for at least a few hours. he's brought some lunch anyways.
