Heh. That's life for us humans, I suppose. Death is an inevitability - even if you aren't killed in battle, you'll fall one day. Disease or old age will take you, even if nothing else can. That's not something any human can escape.
I can certainly see where it's pointless. But it's in human nature to fight for what we want, no matter how pointless it seems.

In the end we're selfish creatures just clawing to get what we want in our allotted time. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don't. I plan on being one of the few who do everything they set out to do before I die.
