In accordance with Rule Seven, the guilty seeks to leave the university and rewrite history. [ Well, Mikazuki had brought some notes with him to the trial, because of the simple fact that he didn't want to... miss or forget anything. So he had written up some things. Plus, it was his first time looking over a body. ]

Well, Kimbley was found in the infirmary. It was clear that his clothing had been burned. Most of the damage sustained to his clothing seemed to be focused down on his lower half, nearby his legs, and the clothing didn't stand up well to the fire.

[ He'll pause to shift notes. He's got this. ]

There's the burns on his arms as well, I'd say about fairly bad ones too. But, nothing worse than just "bad".

...Also, his clothing is soaking wet.

Finally, Kimbley sustained quite a very bad head injury on the lower back of his head. I believe this is what killed him. Someone seemed to try to bandage it up, but as you can see, last-minute regrets didn't do much good as something like that likely killed him instantly...And I believe that's all for my part.

[Varric approaches his podium silently, object in hand. Once he's up and settled, he holds the chlorine tablets out.]

Found these in Kimbley's room. Anyone want to explain what they are?

Maybe they didn't know he was dead at first? I mean, one hit to the head doesn't seem like enough to kill someone.

I know I have tried to heal people many times after... it was too late. Perhaps that is how our culprit felt at that time not believing he had already passed.

Kimbley had written all over his walls in his room. One of them was a molecular symbol I don't recognize.

[She pulls out a notebook and rips out a page, which she'll pass around to anyone who wants to take a look at it.

He did spend most of his time in the chemistry lab. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, but I guess accidents can still happen.

...see, I'm wondering. A sufficiently forceful explosion will probably burn you, yeah... I mean, if it's firey. Most of the ones I've seen have been more about releasing a lot of energy at once. I mean, that's how Pokemon do it, and it'll usually throw things around 'em back.

It'd be pretty ironic, but maybe something blew up and threw him... somewhere wet? I'm guessin' the pool, but I don't know if people found anything there.
