[At the appointed time, when those interested walk into the art studio, they'll see that holy shit, Guzma got a lot of paints out of the storage room and put them all over the tables. There's a lot of stuff there, ready for everyone to grab and spread out all over the academy and paint all over everything.]

...well, if you have something that's kind of off about your art, why not incorporate it into whatever it is you're making? Like, there's a lot of stuff that naturally looks wobbly. If you get the colors right and give it the right attitude, it'll still look good.

[He'll take a break from his calligraphy to spray paint an actual thing. The problem is, he's not really that creative, and spray paint isn't easy to control. So it comes out looking like a lumpy green blob on legs with a mask and a bandanna.]

No, it's still better this way. I...I can't do that to her. I'm not kidding when I say I have nothing to offer her. I live alone in a small apartment, I work a dangerous job, and I have no real plans for the future. She's a good person, and she deserves someone who's going to do right by her. Someone who can actually be in her life, not leave her as soon as we're gone from here.

What I feel now, it won't matter in a year. So it's not worth getting worked up over.

That's enough to get Silver to backhand him. It's not rough, but it's got enough force to get the point across; he's not going to actually punch him, either, on account of him being kind of a wimp. But rather than explain himself, he's going to start spray painting words on the wall:

I don't... really have a house. I have the keep! But... before all that I stayed in a tavern. Rented a permanent room and all that. [Bran would certainly have a fit if Varric let a strange man from a stranger land wander about the keep.]

I'll have Bran clear a room. The best one we have, aside from my own.

1: He absolutely deserved that, and though he looks shocked about it he's not going to argue about it.

2: If that's how they're going to talk, then two can play at that game.]

If Watanuki is really 117, then everyone he knows is going to die anyway and he will be alone again.

[Notably, in his anger, the kanji for 'death' was replaced with 'four' and the kanji for 'alone' was replaced with 'one.' The same kanji used in his last name.]
