[The trial, as usual, was taxing. It's for different reasons every week, but what it all comes down to is there are fewer of them than there were, and that keeps on happening. The note comes, as it always does, earlier than last week, but still with some delay. There's a note slipped under everyone's door. ...One under Gold's door because of course Silver will be staying there, she knows.]

Please come to the dining room, if you would like not to be alone. There will be food, and there will be some cards and board games if you need a distraction.

[True to that, there are a variety of foods. It's nothing too fancy. Rice, grilled fish, eggs in various styles. ...No creampuffs this time, it seems Hanyuu thought that would be a little in poor taste. Also a bunch of fries? ...Really spicy fries, like incredibly so.

On a far table, board games brought from the games room have been left out, along with many decks of cards.]

[ orihime will not be at the after party, but she'll be...around.

the first place she goes to is to varric's room. she's only going to return the key and that's all. she knows she can't stay in his room for long, or...

she opens the door, almost hoping that by some miracle, varric will be in there and greet her and call her sunshine as he always does...but he's not there. that painful realization hurts her heart. with teary eyes, she goes to place his key on his desk, but...an envelope addressed to his "kids" catches her eye. needless to say, she'll be...in there for a while, if anyone wants to check on her.

the same thing happens with viktor's room. she gets a makkachin plush from her room and goes to his room to safely put it on his bed, but there's a letter there for her, too.

she hates this. she just...she hates this, so much.

later, orihime can be found at the profiles. she has in her hand a bracelet--brown, yellow, and orange--and moves to tape it onto varric's profile. she'll...try to deliver it to him, soon, but she wants it to be there. at least for today, so people know that he was loved. she has a matching one on her wrist, next to viktor's, and she holds the both of them closely. held under her arm are three envelopes, two of which are addressed to her, and one that is addressed to yuuri. ]

[...well, today's...not as fucked up as it could have been, to say the least. Lusamine's thankful enough for that, even if she actually feels something toward a part of it.

She doesn't like that fact.

She'll be in the dining room for a while, though, sitting with her Pokemon out--Clefable and Lilligant sitting on the ground right next to her, and Mismagius floating around the area. She's eating a bit, and...writing, it seems, on some loose paper.

She'll leave a little later on and go to the pool, though. She had refrained from swimming after what had happened here, but...well. It's stress reducing. Her Pokemon aren't with her this time, though. The dears need a rest.

Of course, much later on she'll be in Room 14 with the door opened a crack. She won't mind visitors too much, at least.]

[Watanuki will not be around for most of the rest of the day. Anyone looking for him may be able to find him at his room. The door is closed, but not locked.

Much later, he is at the profiles, staring up at them. He has paper and a pen in hand, but he hasn't started writing anything yet.

After he's done there, he stops by the party to get some food. He's not specifically approaching anyone, but he looks like he'll talk if anyone wants to talk to him.]

[Estelle usually tries to go to these after parties and make things, but tonight... she just can't. Going to her room means passing by Killia's. They were... neighbors after all. Just that once was hard and she can't take any more of this right now, so keeping herself to her room is a go. Also since she... kind of tried to pin something on Gangrel, that guilt also doesn't help her and keeps her from wanting to go to the after party.

Room 29 is not locked, but she's certainly not coming out or answering the door. However, anyone is free to turn the knob and come in and they'll just see her covered by her sheets and hear the distinct sound of crying.]

[Well ok then, he'll open up the door for her.

Interestingly enough, the room has a very clean smell. Like he might have just spent five hours cleaning it or something. Because he totally did.]

[ it, indeed, smells very clean. she'll ask about it later. ]

...Can I come in?

[ Elda wanted to be useful today. Maybe it's a certain... feeling, a certain uncertainty about how she feels about her place both among her fellow "classmates" or with how she feels about any of the three recent deaths. Varric she had not fully restored her relationship with. Killia and Viktor she hardly knew, in the grand scheme of things. But all three of them weight on her in a way she's not really comfortable with, as do her words and actions during the trial.

It's gross, basically.

As such, the vampire through herself hard into this party. She knows that she's much more "okay" this week than she was when Gold needed to be executed and she felt guilty over if she could have done more with Kimbley. Those spicy fries? She made those. But they aren't all uniform! Some of them are covered in chili powder, some in salt, some in all-spice, others in cumin (ew?), and whatever other spices she could find. Some have combinations of them. But following Silver's instruction from the other day she made them all. It seems like a fitting tribute to that hungry food demon.

As such, Elda's around here most of the night, pushing those fries on people or asking to play cards or maybe some board game with her. She's got paper in front of her too, spinning around a pen between her fingers, looking for something to write. She was thinking that, perhaps, she could continue Varric's tradition to making a little eulogy story for the three of them.

It's a long night, she won't retire until it seems everyone else has. And she'll be looking for certain people to get on the case of too, of course. ]

[Gangrel makes his way back to his room with Mikazuki immediately after the trial. The door is open a tiny bit if you're looking for them, but for a long time Gangrel's just going to be in there with Mikazuki, trying to help him calm down a little at least. This is the most effort he's put forth here and he kind of hates it. But Mikazuki's been nothing but nice to him so maybe it's okay.

Later on in the evening Gangrel will step out for a bit to head on over to room #28, Killia's room. He'll pick up a trident and the note left for himself while he's there, but he'll also leave the door open in case you want to go in and get your stuff. The room key is staying with him, though.

Toward the end of the night Gangrel will stop by the afterparty just to get some food. His expression is sort of blank and he doesn't seem to be having a good time (for once) but food is important and he should probably eat something that isn't sugary. He's not sure he really wants to eat anything sweet right now anyway.]

Mhmm.

[He'll step aside so that she can come in. He hasn't looked at her yet either, he's too busy finding other things to focus on as he goes about letting her in and shutting the door.]

[introspects]

[ okay...she holds the envelopes in her hands tightly, looking down at them. she wonders if this is a bad time to bring it up, but he has to know in case something happens to his letters. ]

Varric-san and Viktor-san both left letters for you in their rooms. Actually...the one I have from Varric-san...it's for all of us. His 'kids.'

We were wrong.

[ That's Elda's apology. Or well, the immediate verbal one as she sits across from Gangrel placing a deck of cards between them and also pushing a plate of her fries towards them. These happen to have a mix of chili powder and cumin on them, so uh? Enjoy. ]

[...Huh. Well, he actually recognizes it as an apology (because that's exactly how he'd apologize if he was ever wrong, but of course he's never wrong!!) so there's that. He picks up one of the fries to examine it before taking a bite and making a face.]

What did you put on these?

[But he doesn't really seem all that invested in being disgusted by fries tonight and instead he shrugs and gestures to the deck.]

I shouldn't stay long, but I suppose I've got time for a game. What do you want to play?

[He'll acknowledge the apology in a moment, maybe.]

[Well...it's a little later on, but once she feels she has an acceptable enough note in the dining room, she'll be making a quick stop in front of Gangrel's door, slipping it underneath before walking off. She figures he doesn't want company, but...]

I apologize for what happened today. I should have trusted what you said from the start. You didn't deserve any of that.

Dining Room

All of you, try these for me.

[ Elda says this imperiously pushing two plates of the fries she made towards Lusamine and he pokémon before sort of getting into a crouch near to the table, sitting across from her. Also oops if she's interrupting your writing.

One of the plates has red pepper flakes and salt on them. The other has paprika and pepper. ]

[matchbreaker]

I don't know, some spices! I can't taste them, remember?

[ Shrug ]

It seemed boring to just use salt.

[ But okay. ]

Do you know rummy?

[matchbreaker]

[ Oh good, there's the kid. And he's got-

Huh.

She too has a pen and paper, and she is going to just walk up to him, jump to tap him on the back of his head with her pen, and then gesture to his papers ]

Written anything?

[Oh, that's... That's giving him almost half of a feeling, hang on.

It takes him awhile to wander out of his room and over to hers, but eventually he'll knock on the door and wait for an answer.]

[ Mikazuki's in here now, wiping at his eyes. He barely even registered that he had moved into the room at all, just that Gangrel had held his hand the whole way and they had walked. If anything, positive physical contact did better than any words the red head could have.

... That said, he was trying to at least get his voice to work correctly to ask about something he kind of needed help with. It was easy when he had Killia, but now... ... yeah. ]

Ah... there is something... just give me a moment.

Well, next time stick to salt! And not too much of it either.

[He's from fantasy medieval land, he doesn't even know what fries are and he's still not here for potatoes covered in salt!!

...But anyway.]

[Before the afterparty, Hanyuu will be...well, she'll be setting it up. She helped with a few, but she's never taken the initiative until now. She has so little hope for them getting out, but something- it-

She can't. She can't do nothing, not after...everything Killia said.

So here she is, at the party, bringing people food, though she looks as haggard as she's been all week, and setting up board games. At some point, she slips out to the foyer, to the little shrine she set up. She'll pray, and then, quietly:]

I'll find something appropriate for each of you...okay? Maybe something from the bar, or...Viktor, your phone. Killia...more flowers.

[Late at night, she'll be in the kitchen, making creampuffs. ...Not on the afterparty, but for herself.]

[ Mikazuki will not be at the afterparty, this evening. In fact, he wouldn't be anywhere for awhile if it weren't for the actions of one Mad King Gangrel, of which he's grateful for. That said, he can definitely be found in Gangrel's room for a bit, as the other man had cracked the door open for either of them to be reached.

If someone enters to wish to say something to him, he'll be still able to engage in conversation and try to at least be as pleasant as he is normally. Although, it'll be considerably hard for him to smile and he's not going to pretend everything is all hunky dory. ]

[You're welcome to make yourself at home; he's taken the desk chair so the bed's all yours for now.]

Don't worry about it. I'm not going to tell you to hurry up or anything like that.

[He hesitates for a moment, then sighs.]

I'm not good at this, so don't expect me to be understanding or kind or anything like that. But you don't need to be doing this in front of everyone else either. So I'll be patient; that's about the only thing I really can do for you.

[ Or at least, she's very used to getting her way? Who knows which ways she means it. Either way BOOM BOOM explaining Rummy and how you draw and what you can put down and playing off of the other person's cards once they have put down and etc.

[ So there's something to be said about how Elda is spiteful and shouty when she's upset and upbeat and annoying when she's not. But there's also a strange phenomenon that's been coming up more and more where when she's somewhere between those two poles she's, well. Perhaps even more obnoxious. And selfish. ]

Hanyuu! What's your favorite of these board games? We'll play it.
