Everyone likes him and it is not hard to see why. I know he is loyal with his friends, although it took him a while to accept they liked him. If there's the slightest possibility one of his friends or Ran is in danger he won't let anything stop him from getting involved or outright attempting to save them. The tales my police pals have told me are something to behold.
Ran adores the kid, to me it seems he's like a younger brother to her now. The police detectives like him too, to the point where they don't protest his messing with the crime scene because they say Conan-kun is perceptive. A couple of them even trust him over their partners' judgment.
I'll be honest, Cherryblod-san. That kid is a handful to deal with but it isn't as big of a deal as I may have made it sound. Other than his tendency to get into cases he doesn't bother anyone, is mature enough to not to need constant supervision, and most of the time I like his presence around the office.
...I know he is staying with us only for a while - it has been just a few months since he started living with us - but I already consider him like...part of the family in a sense. I look over him and to be honest I will do anything to make sure he is safe.
I also pity him in a way. He was left behind while his parents are overseas yet nobody hears from them. All contact I have with them is when they send money to pay for Conan-kun's expenses, they don't even make an attempt to talk to him.
For now I'd say it's up to me and Ran to be the parents he doesn't have. It is not easy but we are going to try and do our best to do it.
