There could be almost anything in the music room that would work. Hell, the killer could smashed her head in with the piano cover for all I know. If they had enough time to make plants they had time to clean up the real weapon. It just had to be heavy and the right size. Bash her in the side with a guitar even- if something was smashed with the rest we'd never notice it as out of place.
