WEEK 2.
Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead. Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
Vending Machine
And...
She doesn't even want to think about that second reason.
But it's with all this in mind that when she's walking past Chiyuki at the vending area, she herself fiddling around with on of her "prizes" from earlier (specifically, the Kokeshi doll. ) she sees this deep moment with the dress....
... And sniffs.
Wait...
She gets closer, dropping the doll and sniffing more intently ]
no subject
Something wrong?
no subject
... Well, she reaches a clawed finger out to try and cut her... ]
no subject
never mind, she's not really taking chances here. N O P E, stepping back. ]
...You can just ask, you know. [ Ms. Super Sniffer. ]
no subject
What's wrong with your blood?
[ She curls the finger back up to herself.
Everyone here doesn't smell good, but they also don't necessarily smell bad. There's a few obviously not her type (most notably Gold, but others too) but...
This woman just smells blank, like some sort of really unfed vampire ]
no subject
...What do you mean? [ That'll do. ]
no subject
[ Flatly, but with sharp eyes.
She considers trying to make her bleed again, but... ]
I don't think you're that young.
no subject
...I don't know what's wrong with me. [ She just knows she's not usually like this. Maybe? Guests bleed and get cuts, but she's different—why?
Not questions she has answers for, and she's going to fold the dress over her arm and try to scoot around Elda. Far side of her. ] When I figure it out, I'll let you know.
[ (Probably not, but that's not really because of anything Elda's done.) ]
no subject
[ Gurl you have a dress and some other stuff, she's not letting you escape! Elda scoots back out in front of her again, snarling ]
We're not close enough for me to let you drop it at that. What are you?
no subject
Human.
[ That's said very evenly, despite her slightly irritated look. Because that's what she is, apparently, this— weird thing she's got going on be damned. ]
no subject
[ That's... impossible, right? There's no way that's possible. And yet-
She leans in and up a little, her eyes now dangerous. ]
no subject
She's been incredibly careful not to hurt herself, even going so far as to be slower with certain things—washing clothes and making food mainly—and not banging on anything too hard unless it's covered with something or it's soft in the first place.
If she says yes, Elda might try. If she says no, that brings her back to, 'Then what are you?'
What's more preferable right now: having to wrap up something else up, or answering? ]
...Probably not. [ Answering, apparently. ] I am human, I just—don't know what's going on.
[ Mannequin story, grandma. ]
no subject
She...
Feels dumb to ask this next part ]
We've got demons and space aliens here... [ So- ] You're not some sort of robot Wordsmith put in here to kill us all.
[ She meant that as a question, but it came out as a statement. Maybe it's because she seems too human to fit with what a 1930s/40s (the sort she has in mind) robot is in her head ]
no subject
[ That's just... an agreement with her, though she still sounds a tad more defensive than what she would've liked—at least she's loosening up a little in the shoulders now that Elda's backed off a bit, there. ]
1/2
no subject
How do you not know yourself? Spill it, girl. If you wanna keep it a secret I will but in exchange I'm knowing the whole story.
[ And they can do it in her room or something if she wants, but Elda isn't letting a possible threat hang in the wind without knowing what's up with it.
A human whose blood doesn't smell like anything is absurd ]
no subject
Help me with this stuff and we'll talk in my room. I'll tell you what I can. [ ... ] What I know.
[ Elda's nose is entirely too unfair, in her opinion. ]
no subject
[ She hates bei-- no, what's the point in lying, she loves being nosy like this. She just doesn't (yet) care about Chiyuki personally, so it's annoying to have to be this invasive for no reason. But it's not for no reason, not if ...
Well, whatever, she'll help her with her stuff. Elda's strong, but she's also small and doesn't have big arms of anything. Though she puts her own doll in her sweater vest there is a limit to how much she can carry.
... Is that a tumbleweed?
Why??? But she picks that up in one finger and also gets the comb scissors, the slinky... ]
no subject
...and then there's the mascot costume, uh. ]
...I'll come back for that. [ Maybe. :|a What if she just left it here. ]
no subject
[ Admittedly, her other costume looks okay at a glance, but that one...
Looks silly.
Oh well... ]
no subject
Someone with no dignity. Or who has to resort to wearing costumes because they haven't washed their other clothes yet. [ One of the two. And... she doesn't quite trust Elda to not try anything while her back is turned, so: ] I'm in room 5.
[ ...please walk in front of her. ]
Wow this notiff like didn't come or I lost it or some shit sorry bella
Makes her smirk, actually. And the woman seems to easily get in front of Chiyuki, content to allow the person to get behind her, if only because she is fairly certain that she's much more agile than the other woman, no matter what's up with her.
She even does the evil old lady chuckle!
How dastardly!
But all the same? Yes, to the room ] I'll lead, don't worry.
YOU'RE GOOD, MY MAN
Thanks. [ To the room! ...Where she's not going to talk at all, not until they're inside and she's firmly shut the door behind them.
Elda can stay standing if she wants—she's going to go turn her desk chair around and sit down.
...so. ]
I'm human. [ That bears repeating, and she hesitates for a long time...
then slowly unwraps the bandages around her right wrist. The skin is cracked and chipping beneath it, like old, dried paint; it's gone all the way around her wrist actually, and a little ways down her forearm, too. Instead of meat and blood, there's something grey and plastic-like. ] But this is happening. I don't know why exactly, but...
[ ...She'll hold out her arm for Elda to come inspect it, if she'd like to. ]
...My knee's like that, too. [ She'll shift her right leg—it's just covered by her pants. ] It doesn't look the same—more like it got torn off, or something like that.
YEAH I TRY
Oh wow... [ Wait, she's- ] Wait, so were you the mannequin girl after all? Wasn't it Mei?
[ But... That is spooky ]
no subject
you know what, let's go with sort of. wherever her skin is normal, it feels like normal skin. otherwise, it's smooth plastic. ]
Mai, and that was just a story. Don't take it seriously. [ but yes. apparently, yes. ] Satisfied?
