WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Adelina and Kyrie Ushiromiya are dead. Regardless of how you felt about them and whether or not you mourned their passing, life goes on. It seems the Wordsmith intends to make good on the rules he's left for you all. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Either way, it seems there's nothing to do but move on - or, perhaps, move down. Another door in that holding area near the elevator seems to have opened up, leading into a corridor and a stairwell that seems to lead you somewhere beneath the dormitories, and eventually onto a new floor altogether. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 28

[introspects]

[ It's evening and Orihime's walking down the hall to prepare some dinner. She can't help but notice the door to room 21 ajar, though, and hearing some noises coming from Watanuki's room prompts her to check on him and see what's up. ]

Hello? Watanuki-kun?

[foundfate]

Ah-

[Watanuki is startled by suddenly Orihime, so he ends up bumping into the wooden thing he has been building. Which then falls over, because it is top heavy.

He just. Stares down at it, then sighs and rubs at his face before turning to look at Orihime.]

Hello, Inoue-san.

[Despite being clearly dejected at his failure at building things, the usual perk to his voice that is there when he talks to Orihime is still present. It's just buried slightly, at the moment.]

[introspects]

Ah-!

[ Oh no, it's falling over? Orihime runs in to try and help him pick up the pieces. Even if it's heavy, she's surprisingly strong, so she's more than happy to help him out! Whatever he's doing, he looks like he's hard at work, so it would be sad to just. Leave it there on the floor. ]

What are you trying to build? It looks like a lot of work.

[foundfate]

[Wow, Orihime is strong! Watanuki is definitely noticing that now, and it distracts his train of thought for a moment.]

It, er...It's to hang my kimono on. Or it's supposed to be, if I can build it right.

[He will also help with standing it up, though.]

[introspects]

Oh! One of those things!

[ Well, that certainly makes sense. That kimono really needs to be taken care of, and not just folded carelessly, after all! ]

Do you need any help? I don't really know how to build things very well, but I can at least help you out with holding it together...?

[foundfate]

It won't do much good if we have to hold it together while a kimono is on it.

[Yeah he's not going to just stand there and wait for his kimono to get aired out.]

But if you know anything about building stuff, the help would be great.

[introspects]

Well...

[ How do we do this??? ]

Do you have all the tools you need? Like, nails and a hammer?

[foundfate]

....er.

[There's nails there! And a hammer! They're just...on the floor. Over there. And the nails sticking out of the sad wood pile, they're bent.]

They're around, I'm sure.

[introspects]

[ Around...

Give her a few moments, and she'll find those nails and the hammer on the floor. And when she returns, she actually looks...mildly upset?! ]

Watanuki-kun, you have to be more careful! What happens if you step on one of these and it pierces through your foot?!

[foundfate]

Well I have shoes now.

[Except he's not wearing them in his room.]

And I was going to clean up when I was done anyway.

[introspects]

It can still go through your shoes if you aren't careful!

[ JUST. POUTING SO HARD AT YOU ]

[foundfate]

[Oh noooo not the pouting!]

Okay, okay! I'll clean it up when we're done, AND I'll be more careful next time.

[introspects]

Good! You'd better! Find a container you can put those in, or leave them on your desk, okay?

[ GET MOM'D ON ]

[foundfate]

[Noooooo!]

I guess I can find a can or something, in the kitchen.

[He's already scooping up the nails to put on his desk for now, though.]

[introspects]

There, that's the spirit! Better to be safe while you're working so hard.

[ And there's her usual grin to replace her mom face! ]

[foundfate]

[Gah stop you're embarrassing him.]

I-It's not that hard of work, I haven't even gotten any results yet!

[As in, he's not working hard. Not that the work itself isn't hard.]

[introspects]

Hm? You had to carry that all back up here, didn't you? Plus, you're trying to figure out how to do something you don't know how to do. Isn't that considered working hard?

[ At least she thinks so!! That's the only way you can grow, after all! ]

[foundfate]

[When she puts it that way, it's hard to argue with her. But Watanuki isn't giving up on that point yet, he's still stubborn.]

If I can get something at least somewhat usable out of it, then I'll consider it 'working hard'.

[introspects]

[ Orihime claps her hands together, just once, and gives him another one of her determined!! shounen!! looks. ]

You have to believe in yourself, Watanuki-kun! The wood gods would want you to chase your dreams of creating the perfect kimono hanger!

[foundfate]

[Oh shit that shounen spirit, it's working Watanuki up too.]

But why would the wood gods care about something mundane like that?!

[Clearly the most important detail there.]

[introspects]

Because you're putting a part of them into your work, aren't you?!

[ COME ON WATANUKI GET WIDDIT ]

[foundfate]

[He can't!]

That's for stuff like houses and bridges! Why would they want to live in a kimono rack?!

[introspects]

Well, they don't have to live in it, do they? The wood gods will bless anything that you ask them to, even something as small as this!

[ PLS ]

[foundfate]

Well...I guess not.

[Watanuki suddenly makes a frustrated noise, and then he claps his hands together to an 'I'm praying' gesture.]

Fine, fine! Let's pray to the wood gods then!

[Aggressive praying is a go!]

[introspects]

Yes! Let's do it!

[ LOOK AT THESE WEIRDOS....Orihime is seriously praying though????

After several moments of this, she opens her eyes and balls her hand into a fist, pumping it into the air. ]
