WEEK 3.
As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining. It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 25 |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

St-
[...quickly shut his mouth. What was that doing here?]
What is that thing?
[Stray Cat tilted its head--er, 'head' at the sight of Kira as though it didn't recognize him, but at the sound of his voice immediately perked up and meowed.]

[...]
She? Maybe she likes you... I'm not sure how I'm supposed to tell, but I'm not too sure it matters. I got it out of the machine, either way.
no subject
I've never seen anything like that before. [Which was a lie: he remembered it in vague shreds. That thing...it had been outside the Kawajiri house, and he'd-...damned amnesia, there was more to it and he wasn't sure what. Stray Cat, meanwhile, seemed curious and a little disappointed that Kira hadn't dared come any closer.]
Does it have a name?
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Either way, you're a cat person, maybe that's why it's interested. I wouldn't be surprised if cat...plant...things work the same way.
no subject
I wouldn't know. I don't actually own a cat back home, much less a flower that acts like one.

['this one' here looking quite dejected at this point. 'PAY ATTENTION TO ME.']
no subject
You want to keep it for a while, then? Assuming it doesn't offend your delicate sensibilities somehow.
no subject
[...kira you're not even being slightly subtle and it's making stray cat sad.]
no subject
[are you fucking kidding right now]
no subject
[oops.]
no subject
Stray Cat, huh?
no subject
. . .What? It's a cat without an owner, what else am I supposed to call it?

[Failing to see any way to talk himself out of this, he dropped his hand and folded his arms with a focused stare.]
I don't know what it is, if that's your next question. I can vaguely recall having seen it before, and I know its name because that what I called it.

[jesus christ kira was it really that hard]
Sometimes weird things happen, apparently, it's not like I care why you know what this thing is.
no subject
Not to me, they don't. [or 'shouldn't', as far as Kira was concerned.] But I'm not surprised you don't care. You might be one of the few that wouldn't find that strange.

I mean, I'm not saying you don't have a point, because I've got no idea what's going on with this thing, but yeah.
no subject
What.
no subject
I'm pretty sure he's dead now, though, so it's not like it matters all that much in the end.

It's...actually not that hard to make a human, in theory, if you know what you're doing. We're just not supposed to. Some people don't really care and they try anyway for whatever reason.
no subject
[holy shit]
That's...certainly leagues above your ordinary high school chemistry experiment.
