WEEK 3.
As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining. It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 25 |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
game room!
Ah, Munechika-san--sure. I...I have some extra pieces with me too, from the vending machine.
no subject
Oh, that's quite convenient, thank you. Did it give you a lot of pieces?
no subject
[ She sits cross from him, taking out the pouch that the pieces came in. ] If you want to use the ones you have, that's fine, too.
no subject
[ He'll casually swipe all the pieces off the board that he placed there. ]
Whoops. It appears that the other pieces went far away on a journey and never came back.
I suppose I will have to use yours, won't I?
[ He gives Orihime a good-natured smile as he finishes pocketing the pieces. He is being clearly just a bit silly here. ]
no subject
I hope the pieces have a safe journey back home.
[ Hopefully everyone here will, too. ]
You...have a knack for helping others, Munechika-san.
no subject
[ Mikazuki is exceedingly glad for that, and he passes her a warm smile at that. It's a nice sound to hear -- the sound of laughter, that is. It helps him keep his own spirits raised, and he hopes he can continue to do the same for others. ]
Oh really? I am not sure about that, but if you say it, it may be true. I do try my best after all, especially if it is for a friend in need. That said, I hope you have managed to sleep well, Orihime.
no subject
[ She'd been thinking about her friends back home a lot yesterday after the trial, thinking about what they would have told her to do while she was here. Yet, she doesn't know how she can face them after voting two people to their deaths--what would Ichigo say about that? ]
I thought about what you said, and... [ ... ] Well, if I may ask--what keeps you going, Munechika-san? What...what gives you strength?
[ She'll get to the game after this. Promise. ]
no subject
The man -- or rather, sword -- allowed an appropriately thoughtful expression to come upon his face. He'll reach over to the other side of board, leaning over a little to lightly pat at her arm if allowed in some kind of comforting gesture before he straightens up in his position and leans back. ]
There are many things that give me strength. Seeing the smiles on others' faces, talking to people, expressing my affection towards the friends I love dearly, helping anyone I can, and knowing no matter what happens, I must return home to perform my duty. Otherwise, I will lose myself to despair.
[ ... ]
That being said, I know you will find your own strength, Orihime, even if that may be hard to believe. But, I hope what I've said may help you, at the very least.
no subject
It does. Thank you.
[ Her fingers curl around her skirt. ] I'm trying to hold onto hope for as long as I can, and maybe our friends from home have noticed we're missing. Maybe...maybe they're coming for us, Munechika-san.
[ She hadn't thought of that until now. If they're on their way, if they really are, then-- ] Maybe that's what I need to hold on to.
no subject
Yes, that's probably the case. I can't wait for the day we manage to break free, or when we have been let out by our friends. Whichever one would be most preferable.
[ ... ]
So, please do hold onto that hope. It'll only serve us well, I think.
no subject
I hope we can find a way out on our own.
[ Maybe this will require outside help. Maybe their friends really do need to come to their aid. It simultaneously gives her hope and a sense of guilt. ]
I...I want to see them again, though. I'm sure you do, too.
no subject
I do. After all, it's been awhile since I've shared tea with Uguisumaru, and seen the wonderful sakura tree that sets itself a bit of ways in the citadel.
[ He'll smile a little wistfully. ]
Ah, already it's making me crave some green tea again...
no subject
[ She, too, misses the sakura trees that would bloom during the springtime; the river in the middle of the town; the way the wind would tussle at her hair and cool her skin. ]
We can get tea before we play, if you'd like. I'm...not sure if there's any green tea in the kitchen, but I'm sure we can ask Wordsmith-san for some if there isn't any.
no subject
[ He'll smile a little. Sometimes, it really was the little things, but at that, he begins to rise to his feet, as he really wanted to have that green tea now. Nudge him towards drinks and food and he'll head there post-haste. ]
Well, luckily for us there does happen to be green tea. Isn't that convenient?
no subject
[ She follows him and rises to her feet as well, heading towards the door. It's been a while. ]
And before I forget: do you want the white or black pieces?
no subject
[ Mikazuki begins to shuffle his feet carefreely as they walk. ]
Hmm, I think I'd prefer the black pieces. They suit me a lot, I think.
no subject
[ Maybe because black is an 'elegant' sort of color. Something you'd wear on a nice, quiet evening. ]
Okay, I'll take the white pieces when we get back. I'm really craving some of that tea...!
[ To the kitchen they go! ]
no subject
Excellent, excellent.
[ ...And now flash-forward to them being in said kitchen and him setting up the green tea. ]
Thank you for joining me in our upcoming game, by the way. It has been awhile since I'd have a chance to play a match against anyone.
no subject
You're welcome! I'm...not really good at it, but I at least know the basics. I owe you for the other day, too.
[ She will be forever grateful for his help. ]
