WEEK 3 As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining. It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting. [ ...This is not what she was expecting to see, and that's really obvious from the way she just... stops and stares? Granted, this week has been full of things she didn't expect, so.

Oh, good, I was hoping you'd show up!!

[ Because she is slamming down a character sheet for Chiyuki! And hers, should she choose to pick it up is...!

a half-golem minstrel ... Who for some reason is level 2. ]

[ ...yeah, she'll pick it up and stare for a bit before looking back at Elda. ]

Why a minstrel? [ Those are like, music people, aren't they. ]

You looked artsy.

[ SHE LOOKED ARTSY. ]

...Figure skating's more of a sporty thing, actually. [ Even if it's got a lot of artsy elements. It's an Olympic sport!! ] That's what I used to do. Before the whole— you know.

Well, you can pretend, I guess. It's not a big deal.

You can't sing?

[ That said, if Chiyuki wer to examine that character sheet more closely they would see that the half-golem in question is actually most skilled with Perform: Lute. Also that they seem to have several spells that are based on their lute playing including the Ballad of the Soaring Flames and the Sonata of Teleportation ]

[ ...surprise, she cannot play instruments either, um. At least these spells look cool, she likes them. ]

I'm passable, but it's nothing I've trained in at all. [ What about— ooh, actually, yeah. ] Did you make a sheet for yourself too?

[matchbreaker]

Nope.

[ She said with a knowing smile. HEH HEH HEH...

An ida came upon her!! ... And yes she did but she also threw it away. ]

Anyway, you don't gotta sing, no.

[ ...That's good, that's good. ]

Oh, I made one for pretty much everyone.

[ She spreads out the twenty-ish character sheets she made up, yawning. Chiyuki is free to grab another and look into them (it can either be one of the ones in another thread here or tell me to make some new one(s) up) ]

...If there's one for Kimbley, she'll take it. If not, then Hanyuu. ]

[ Well they aren't labelled by name but it seems the one that Chiyuki picked out is one for a level 2 Mad Scientist.

... Wait, why is that a class?

Either way, it seems this one is Chaotic Neutral and specializes in making acid ]

[ ..........you know what?

this wouldn't surprise her if it was for him, let's put it like that. but acid... ]

...So who's this one for?

That one...

[ She looks it over... ]

Oh yeah, that's one of the handful of humans here...

[ She hums, and... ]

Well, doesn't matter, really.

If it's Kimbley [ because she cannot honestly guess who else would get affiliated with any sort of "science" thing, he's a huge chemistry nerd ] then he's actually more of a bomb guy, not an acid guy. Just so you know.

[matchbreaker]

[ For a moment, Elda looks... stricken? Conflicted? But it passes with her literally laughing as she flops the sheet of paper around in her hand ]

Hey, even if it was, fiction doesn't always imitate life! After all, it's not like that dual-eyed freak is an elf!

[ And she flicks one of the other sheets to Chiyuki. This one is a Sunset Elf Shaman who specializes in Divination. They have a very high Insight score ]

[stepout]

[ ...That seems like a nice pick for him, considering he works under a wish granter, actually. ]

I guess not. [ Aren't elves supposed to be pretty or... something? ...Hmm. ] Which one's your favorite so far?

[matchbreaker]

Hmmm...

[ She considers, running through the character sheets still here... and then she nods to herself before pressing one down on the table between them. she taps it three times. ]

This one.

[ This one, it seems, is a Level 5 Vampire spawn. ] A lot of the other ones are funny, but I tired to make this one good and it helped me work some stuff out with the rules.

[ Ooh, who could this one be.

...No, she's seriously wondering. Hmm. ]

Are you going to make a game out of these, or is this just for fun?

[matchbreaker]

Mostly, I've been... I guess it's not really bored. [ How does she put this... She frowns and, ] My body still wants to be awake at "night" and sleep during the "day" - but not only are none of you lot up at night, but the damned clock and alarm thing wakes me up every time it goes off. [ Or maybe it's just placebo at this point, who knows ] So I decided to pick up one of these tomes on a lark and when it confused me, I decided I was going to beat it and understand it. And the other night I was up making these in an effort to do that.

[ A beat ]

... But would you play a game?

I might. [ It seems... interesting? And Elda's put a lot of time into it. So. ]

[matchbreaker]

[ O... oh... ]

One've these books says you plan for four people. Well, four and then one person planning stuff, but we could do more or less who cares these rules aren't the Ten Commandments or anything.

If you manage to get at least three more people to agree, I'll join too.
