WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are gone from the group. Zagi and Kamui are dead, twenty-five of you are still alive, and the first week in the Vault comes to a close. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning, those klaxons are as annoying as ever but at the very least there aren't any bodies to be found. It can be assumed, perhaps, that you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; one of the previously closed-off section near the vending machine has opened up, revealing a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 25

...alright, do you know how to use that thing? I've been considering it, but it seems a lot more intimidating than just a needle and thread...

... A little? I must admit it's been quite a long time since I've touched a sewing machine like this one here.

[She would like very much to not have to wear ugly jumpsuit clothes either.]

Perhaps we could try practicing with some spare fabric, just so we can get the hang of it first.

Well, I can't say I've actually seen one like that, so you're probably already doing better than I am.

...there's probably enough fabric here that we could do that, you know. Maybe we should just get the really awful colors and use those.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea.

[But are these colors as ugly as their jumpsuits... in the meantime--]

How are you feeling today, Tarrlok-san? [is he doing okay here or did he end up with one of those weird dreams too...]

...As good as one can feel here, I suppose. Though, I'm really happy about the change of scenery. I imagine it'll get old soon, but you've got to take what you can get in this kind of situation.

[He doesn't seem too shaken up by anything, so any weird dreams probably weren't that bad!]

Agreed. It's... a small change, but a welcome one nonetheless.

[But...] ...I wonder why this room only became available to us now? Why weren't we able to come here before?

I don't really get it myself, especially since the infirmary is on this floor.

Maybe it's some kind of... "reward."

[Please don't say it's a reward for surviving that circus of a trial, she might honestly get very upset here.]

But... why?

...because this is the sort of sick mind we're dealing with here, I suppose. Honestly, I can only follow his probable train of logic so far before I start feeling vaguely nauseous.

[...it's not like the Kingmaker's going to give them a straight answer even if he asks about it, anyway.]

[Megumi looks around the room a little, and after a long moment of consideration...]

... In that case, I don't think I would want to use this room, if it's meant to be a reward for condemning another person to die...

[Because now she gets to sit in here and think "someone had to die for me to get to use this stuff"...]

...I've been trying not to think about it too hard from that angle, because if I keep trying to stick to the first floor I'm going to completely lose my mind.

[he was already losing it last week before murder happened...]

I suppose... [But Megumi still doesn't appear entirely convinced about that.]

Have you seen what's in the other rooms up here already? [She kind of got distracted by the sewing room and hasn't investigated the others yet.]

[...he just laughs kind of bitterly.]

Well, there's a first aid room, which certainly isn't something that would've been helpful last week.

[devastation]

Really? [...Kingmaker-san, we don't usually say this, but what the hell...

She then sighs a little, before speaking again, trying to sound at least a little optimistic here.]

Well, at least now we'll be able to do something if someone gets hurt...

[bloodisthicker]

It's definitely better than trying to make do with strips of cloth from the hideous jumpsuits I'm never going to wear if I can help it, anyway, which was my original plan.

[devastation]

[... Okay, that shouldn't be something to laugh at, but her face might have just twitched for a moment trying not to do so.]

Well thank goodness that we don't have to resort to that, then... besides, I kind of doubt that these jumpsuits would make for good bandages, considering that they don't even make for good clothes to begin with.

Well, I don't know whether the color would cause you to bleed out faster or keep it in your veins, given that I don't think blood would want to be near that stuff for that long.

The fabric itself seems like it'd leave much to be desired, though. I don't really like how it feels.
