WEEK 5 Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better. A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Do you want my advice, or to try this yourself?

Ngh, maybe. Do you know anything about miso?

You're rushing soaking the soybeans. They should be soaking overnight, but three hours should be your absolute minimum.

Also, miso usually ferments for a number of months.

[So... maybe make something else?]

I found some paste already set to go but...

Okay don't laugh, but I'm... kinda allergic to soy. Not a bad one! I can eat a little! But I can't figure out the amount mom used to not make me sick but I REALLY WANT SOUP.

[Unknown to Yosuke his mom's actually got an alternate chickpea paste base just for him. His attempts are doomed to fail from the start]

[Luckily, dad is on the case!]

Hmmm, are you sure she didn't make a substitution? That's what most of my friends with children with allergies do. It's better to do that than risk including too much and having to bring your child to the hospital.

Maybe...? I never asked.

[He throws himself flops on the counter a little melodramatically.]

I probably wouldn't end up in the hospital, but... heh, my guts don't like it.

That's the last thing you need. Do we have any chickpeas in here?

[Just going to look through the pantry while Yosuke does his melodramatic thing.]

[As if he cooks in here more then eggs and toast. Which is probably where this drive for something more traditional came from]

Okay... okay I think I got it.

[He can follow directions at least! He goes with mushroom as his main veggie too and... wow it looks like actual soup. Not AMAZING soup, but there's no noxious cloud of death either!]
