WEEK 7 Two more Survivors have left you; Aqua was killed in cold blood and Mettaton... well, your thoughts on Mettaton probably vary depending on how close you were to him, but either way he chose to end Aqua's life and paid the price for it. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible seventh floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. Chemistry Lab

[Cherryblod doesn't have much business in the chemistry lab, but he'd been looking for Colress in particular, and this is about where he expected to find him.

He stops in front of the table, and picks out two of Rosa's pictures in particular: one where she's chatting to a redheaded girl with a tail not too different from Cherryblod's, and one where she has a lobster on her hat.]

My daughter, Lobco.

[Colress peers up from his writing to check out the photos Cherryblod specifically pointed out. He can't help but smile.]

Aha! I thought that might be her. She looks very cute as a little lobster!

[That's gotta be like. 1/30th of her mom's size. Very portable!]

She's cute all the time, I'll have you know.

[But he's not actually taking offense.]

She looks like she's getting along well with your friend.

[Obviously not family since Colress only mentioned his parents, and not a girlfriend because um? So a friend.]

Oh, but of course!

[He didn't mean offense Cherryblod he swears.

Also yes. Very good choice on the term there. Colress nods in return.]

She does! I am glad that Rosa seems to be making friends despite the circumstances... She has always been rather good at that, from what I could tell.

[He sets down his pen for the time being to focus on the conversation.]

Ah, and yes, that is indeed the same Rosa I spoke to you about in the past.

She's the social type, it looks like. But even you made friends despite the circumstances, so I wouldn't be too surprised.

[...he saw that shipping chart and it briefly comes to mind, but that's not really what he meant, there.]

I am sure your Lobco is flourishing there as well, if she is anything like her father.

She's a wonderful girl. Can't imagine anyone hating her - the worst they might do is tease her a little.

[She kind of is easy to pick on, he means.]

I suppose a little teasing in good fun can't hurt. Though...I am almost one hundred percent sure that Rosa would react to her similarly to how I did with you. She may now be an honorary Pokemon for all we know.

[She does have the benefit of making herself portable, so...]

Don't think she'd mind that, exactly, but she'd react worse to talk of eating her than I did. So I hope that didn't happen.

Eating her? Honestly, that never came to mind! Even with you, actually.

[Why would people discuss eating the humanoid shrimp. That is kind of creepy. Okay it's really creepy.]

Good to know. I know she wouldn't now, but Sigrun's... Sigrun, and it was a bit distressing at the time.

He can't help but chuckle, though.]

That does sound like the Miss Sigrun of our earlier weeks.

[He still hasn't forgotten her licking evidence that one time.]

That said, I will hope for Lobco that she doesn't run into too much teasing of that sort. She'd never want to go into lobster form again, I'd imagine!

Oh, no, I don't think that will happen.

...She gets enough of that from her Witch. Affectionately meant, but still.

[Chlomaki picks on Lobco, a lot.]

[For the first time in a while, Colress is the one who is a little lost it seems.]

My daughter is a Witch's familiar. She works for her, and receives some power and protection in return. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement, if one that requires a great deal of trust.

Ahh, I see! It sounds like a nice setup! Do they battle together as well, then?

[He can't go two seconds without Pokemon comparisons, can he.]

They do! My darling daughter's a talented fighter, and Chlomaki's a powerful witch... Though Lobco says she doesn't usually get involved when she doesn't have to.

[She helps when she's needed, and pretty much only then.]

Oh, wow!

[He legitimately wasn't expecting that, so this is kind of amazing. Hence the actual "Wow!" from the nerd over here.]

I am sure they make quite the duo. That would certainly be fun to watch.

It is. Taught Lobco how to fight myself, and one of these days she's going to beat me.

The great Cherryblod, bested?! My my, Lobco would be quite the threat at that point.

[He...still doesn't know the exact extent of Cherryblod's fighting ability, but he doesn't doubt it's pretty immense if he uh...did the things he apparently claimed.]

Would her opponents also be demons, then? I am afraid I am not entirely sure what other dangers your world faces.

Sometimes. Not often, thankfully.

[...Lobco and demons have a bad history.]

More often it's other witches, or animal people like me. She's well-traveled, so it varies.

Ahh, so the witches tend to not get along very well, it seems. Well! I can't say I disapprove of traveling the world and battling, but...that goes without saying, doesn't it?

You know...now that I am thinking about it- Have you retained any of your fighting ability? I was about to say something about how Rosa might've challenged Lobco to a battle if she found her Pokemon, but...

[How much is magic-related and how much is pure physical ability, Colress wonders.]

Don't know if Lobco'd go for it - she's not much like Sigrun. She might have worried about hurting her Pokemon too much to give it her all.

But I think I could stand against your Pokemon, if you wanted to have a spar sometime. The poison's out of my system by now, or at least it feels that way.

That is fair enough. I imagine fighting you or Lobco is not the same as fighting Miss Sigrun. No offense to Miss Sigrun of course, but a human can only do so much to a Pokemon, you know?

[Even so, Sigrun is amazingly strong.

At the mention of a possible spar, there's no missing the way Colress' eyes light up with excitement.]

Truly? I believe they would really enjoy that! ...I would also enjoy it, naturally, but I am not the one doing the actual battling.

How about against Beheyeem, in that case? Since he can heal himself, I won't have to worry about holding back so much.

[...He wouldn't want to injure a Pokemon and not have them be able to return to full health like a person would.]
