WEEK 7.
Two more Survivors have left you; Aqua was killed in cold blood and Mettaton... well, your thoughts on Mettaton probably vary depending on how close you were to him, but either way he chose to end Aqua's life and paid the price for it. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible seventh floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
MONDAY
MEETING, THE SEVENTH CHAPTER
And now its Monday, and everyone knows what that means by now.
Bruce still isn't in the best shape, but he keeps his focus - there are things that are going to happen and there is a direction for him to follow right now, so that's what he'll key in on. Just that need to keep going, despite what happened--what he dreamed. The present matters more right now.
Bright and early in the morning the notice for the weekly meeting is yet again duct-taped to the bulletin board, Bruce's usual neat handwriting summoning everyone to come to the dining hall at 11 AM, and since its a tradition by now there will be food provided - today's meal: sandwiches. Foot-longs for everyone, actually, just like how you'd have it in Subway (tm). They all have their own personal preferences stuffed in them (because after six weeks, Bruce knows all of your preferences by now) and if you want to put more, there's extra bread and fillings over everyone's choice.
...for a little flair he's even made little flags with paper and toothpicks to stick onto the top of said foot-longs. They're a simple design, dark blue with a white ring with tiny black words written inside them. Should one try to read the words it'll say 'NO MENTION OF GLORY'.
It's sure an interesting design option, huh.
Once everyone has their foot-longs and has settled down, Bruce cracks open his Ubiquitous Notebook and starts the meeting.]
I know what happened was hard, and we're all still recovering from it-- [Sigrun and Cherryblod especially, although he pointedly doesn't look at either of them] --but we have to push on, now more than ever. A new floor opened up yesterday, as always, so let's start with what we've found there.
[...he really, really hopes that the hint will have been passed through.
So. After the meeting Bruce will be going back to his room in order to work on the meeting summaries to pass around by the evening - a very quick turnaround for once, but when there's only twelve of them now it doesn't take as much time as before. He'll be slipping all of those to everyone's respective rooms, with a tiny note written at a corner that goes 'COME TO THE CHAPEL BETWEEN HALF PAST MIDNIGHT AND ONE. DON'T COME ALTOGETHER. REQUEST FROM STAN AND I.'
With all of that done Bruce uses the rest of the night between holing himself up in the library and doing his part for the night patrol, even as thinned down as they are now. Although mostly its just to kill some time until he heads over to the chapel to see what Stan has in store for them all.]
INVESTIGATION FINDINGS
We know now that there is the possibility of somebody among us working with the Kingmaker, after--what happened. [Sorry Sigrun. Sorry Cherryblod.] While the threat is lessened now, at the same time we need to expect the possibility that another one of us could still be working for him - or even more of us.
...but that doesn't mean we shouldn't hide things from each other. [His jaw sets here.] Rather, it means that we need to look out for each other more than ever. We can't let what happened break us apart. If we falter here now, we'll be letting down everyone else who had already lost their lives. We need to keep on going still, despite everything.
[...with that said, Bruce will take out a notebook and a plain white envelope with two plain white card keys and place them in the middle for everyone to see.]
I found these in the office - it was in the bottom drawer of the desk in that room. I've glanced through the book's contents; it seems to be written in German this time, although I'm not sure why that isn't translating. Some of the writing in this is also the same as the one from the inscription in the book that Stan found. The envelope was inside the book and contains the two cards which I suspect are possibly keys of some sort.

So that's two things that we can't read now. Well, I'm sure someone here might be able to? I just know I can't. Let me know if you ever find anything in Norwegian though. Or Danish. Or Icelandic. Swedish is fine too, I guess.
What makes you think they're keys though? They just look like pieces of plastic to me.

Mettatonany of their dead companions. And what Bruce's drawing was.]

[And to be fair its a REALLY BIG HUNCH but--you know. Can't hurt to put it out here.]
As for the book, I was hoping Mister Kni--Gabriel might be able to read it.
[...he hopes you can German enough for them, man.]

Stan doesn't react to the notes, because that would entirely defeat the purpose, but who the fuck is Glory]
Nothin' for me since last time. Speedwagon and I were lookin' for some secret passages or somethin', but we didn't find anything.
[That's his story and he is sticking to it. No one knows anything about secret rooms right now.]
Do you think it's the book, or does the thing just not do German?

[Since this book seems to be written in pretty standard Earth-based German.]

If someone thinks hard about it, they can bypass whatever is causing the universal translation.

After the meeting, he's accompanying Sigrun upstairs to the conference room so she can check out Glory—he'll be standing at the door after a while, an apologetic look on his face while Sigrun writes whatever she needs to and a simple "Can you come back later?" as a request for anyone who might want in while she's busy talking to the ghost. (Unless you're Cherryblod, apparently.)
But after that, anyone's free to go in, since him and Sigrun'll be gone—it probably won't take too long, so don't worry about it. He'll be back in the library for a good part of the way, mostly because he knows no one goes to it, and he seems to be reading aloud! Or, to be exact: he's reciting something, and it's not from any book the library has to offer.
It's from the sketchbook-turned-notebook he generally has with him.
He can also be found routinely back in the sewing room, switching between working on stuffed animals (is that an unholy matrimony of a peacock and a flamingo) and an actual person-sized white dress hanging up on one of the mannequins; and the music room, attempting to practice but not... really getting to it—he ends up playing something familiar instead, as much as he'd really like to avoid it.
And as the evening draws closer, Black is in his room. The door is mostly shut, but anyone peeking in gets a "come in" motion while he finishes up whatever he might be doing at the time. ]
paging ghosty friend
... Probably...
Well, anyway, if what Black said is true and there's a ghost haunting the chalkboard, she's pretty sad she didn't get to introduce herself the first time everyone else did. Like, of all people not to be there to greet their new friend. She'll draw a small cat head before she actually writes anything.]
