WEEK 7 Two more Survivors have left you; Aqua was killed in cold blood and Mettaton... well, your thoughts on Mettaton probably vary depending on how close you were to him, but either way he chose to end Aqua's life and paid the price for it. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible seventh floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. [Sigrun waves off the first part, though she's clearly got something on her mind -- well, that'll be for later. She also wants to know why they can't talk about glory?? Glory is great. Her lifestyle is built around that.]

So that's two things that we can't read now. Well, I'm sure someone here might be able to? I just know I can't. Let me know if you ever find anything in Norwegian though. Or Danish. Or Icelandic. Swedish is fine too, I guess.

What makes you think they're keys though? They just look like pieces of plastic to me.

they mentioned seeing some of them and they know that a girl with blue hair was the last victim—aqua—but just because they haven't seen mettaton doesn't mean he isn't around.

Yes, that sounds reassuring enough.

... It's such a slim chance, though, since monster souls don't persist after death. But she has some Words for him that-- she'd really like him to hear, actually, so a slim hope is better than no hope at all.]

It's mostly just a hunch at this point, but their general design look seems to be close enough to that of card keys that exist back where I come from.

[And to be fair its a REALLY BIG HUNCH but--you know. Can't hurt to put it out here.]

As for the book, I was hoping Mister Kni--Gabriel might be able to read it.

[There's a lot of technical stuff in here, but there are a few words - Sensibilisator, das Oxyd - that definitely give off the implication that it's chemistry that we're looking at, and a few other words (namely umwandeln and umbilden) keep showing up an actual hell of a lot in the scrawled-out writing.

The neater writing, mostly questions and the like, is mostly asking if there are certain ways things should be done or how plausible it is that something or another can happen.]

I can't read most of it. It looks like there's somethin' about chemistry in here? Das Oxyd, that looks like "oxide", and I bet Sensilisator has something to do with the same thing.

There are a couple words in here used a lot-- umwandeln [that's definitely pronounced wrong] I think that means "to convert"? So there's more chemistry there. Umbilden, that's a word I've heard Gerdie use a lot when talking to the repairmen-- it means "remodel."

There's somethin' else here, in the neater writing, that is saying..... I think it's asking how possible something is?

I guess that explains all the chemicals I don't care about on one of the floors. How possible what is though?

[Because it sounds like they're talking about straight up interior decorating tbh. And they failed that here.]

Umbilden probably has more than one meaning-- maybe the best way to look at it is that whoever this was, they wanted to change something.

I can't tell what they were doing specifically, but it was some kind of science.

There's something in here about.... I think that word means "reactions"?

... Make sense if it is. This thing kind of is like an experiment and all, mad scientist or whatever. I uh. Just don't know how literal into that it could go into.

If they decided to be vague on naming items and subjects, it could very easily well be.

[Bruce says it all rather... bluntly. And perhaps a bit too clinically.]

But 'reactions', 'oxides' - it all sounds it leans towards chemicals and such.
