WEEK 7 Two more Survivors have left you; Aqua was killed in cold blood and Mettaton... well, your thoughts on Mettaton probably vary depending on how close you were to him, but either way he chose to end Aqua's life and paid the price for it. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible seventh floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. [ Oh good, that's wonderful. Now he doesn't have to sing as loud.

...granted, it comes with the caveat of Yosuke being closer, and Black hums a few bars to catch the right notes. This shouldn't be hard; he'd been working on playing this on his own (especially considering White'd never be able to play with him again), but he still feels nervous putting on a show.

There's this and a little bit of singing to go with; no one apparently sings while they play this on piano though, so have some lyrics to go with it and use your imagination. He's not the best by far, but he isn't terrible to listen to, especially with as soft as he's singing.

This is why he didn't want to get made fun of, incidentally. The. Singing thing. Please don't mind if he just sort of turns his head away after he's finished. ]

[ His voice squeaked a little just then. This is horrible. ]

[Yosuke's eyes are saucers by the time Black is done. Yeah, he wasn't amazing but damn the song was pretty and if nothing else Yosuke is forever weak to a good song. Enough so that he has to look away lest he embarrass himself.]

Holy-..., Will... that was... really nice. You've gotten a lot better.

Not really, it's a really easy song--like embarrassingly beginner level easy [ though solo leans more towards intermediate ] so it's not really a big... deal.

[ a beat, and black glances back at--oh good, yosuke is also looking away that's a relief. ]

But... thanks. [ that's what you're supposed to say. ]

Still... I really liked it. You're not an awful singer either.

[Not the best he's heard but...]

Most people aren't. [ learn to take a compliment, black. ] Unless they're tone deaf. I think I had an uncle like that.

You can do anything you want with enough practice. [ playing a few scales, here ] Even talent is just pursued interest. I've always felt effort meant more anyway.

You think practice will fix my crappy breath control? I guess it probably would... but I'd rather listen.

[ actually yes, yosuke, you get better at controlling your air if you do choral practice, that's kind of basic-- ]

Miss Sigrun likes singing, so you could always ask her. [ because he's never singing again, nope ] She has a really nice voice, too.

I feel like she's going to try and start a barbarian choir or something if we encourage her even a little.

That wouldn't be so bad. [ ... ] Maybe. It'd be something to keep us busy during the week. Choir practice.

Oh god no. I think I'll stick with too much DDR and poking at walls, thanks.

There'd be people worse than you, you know. Like Mr. Pines or Mr. Knight, or the good Detective. Especially him—I don't think he's good at anything other than law enforcement.

[ ...sorry, Mouri. Your rolls were not impressive and he knows you can't sew for shit. The likelihood of you being good at anything is really low. ]

...but I won't ask her about it. I'm not sure if she'd be in the mood to anyway.

...I dunno, maybe the distraction would be good for her.

I'll suggest it to her and see how she feels about the idea. And then I'll tell her you're her first choir boy volunteer.
