Seventh.
| The klaxons blare out bright and early Friday morning – granted, given the lack of windows in this place, it probably just feels early. Once again, things are quiet on the lower floors – the first-floor hallway isn't covered in blood, there aren't any bodies lying around, and things seem fairly normal to those just leaving their dorms. Of course, that doesn't mean that nothing is wrong; seven weeks in this place have probably taught everyone at least that much. Overall, though, things seem pretty sane until you get to the higher floors – where there are traces of blood on the fifth, in the general direction of the locker room between the saunas. >Explore? |

Bruce takes a moment to get out some bandages he has on himself to act as a makeshift... something to help him breathe better, at any rate. Once that's settled it's time to start examining... what's left of Shizaru, at any rate.
First, the elephant in the room - or well where the centralized damage is. Bruce is going to examine that thoroughly for... well, whatever that needs to be checked in the case of somebody who looks like they were right next to a bomb of some sort. Not the first time he's seen damage like this (what you get for throwing yourself to help people in a literal war zone), but it certainly isn't easy.]

Most of the damage seems to be what you would expect from someone in the immediate blast radius of a bomb; his abdominal cavity seems to have taken the brunt of the hit, and as such there are parts of Shirazu that are supposed to be there and now are, in fact, kind of everywhere. (I'm so sorry.)
Interestingly enough, though, it looks like there might be something almost like shrapnel wounds along with all the charring and the...everything.]

After waving off some more smoke, Bruce does notice the shrapnel wounds... and why does he not have gloves. He needs gloves for this shit.
A moment's worth of internal debating later, Bruce is taking out more bandages to just... use them instead to protect his fingers as he reaches out and... sees if there's any actual shrapnel that he can retrieve from this mess.]

Time to see if he can examine them closer.
Are the shards too small to be taken out? Or is he able to somehow manage to get them out using fingers wrapped in bandages to protect said fingers (for the most part, anyway).]

ANYWAY several really rather gross minutes later that we will not describe in words, Bruce will manage to take out a shard. And then try to wipe off the blood and... stuff on it to see if he can see any kind of something from it. Shatter pattern? Any traces of what could have been this thing in the past??]

He's going to wrap this in a couple more bandages to keep it for later. Into a front pocket of the jumpsuit it goes.
NOW TIME TO MOVE ON--waving off more purple smoke Bruce will try to check the rest of Shizaru's... uh, remains to see if there's any sort of injuries or anything that might be sticking out as odd... besides the fact that he exploded.]

Time to get out the bandaged fingers again and dig in--well okay Bruce will pry open Shizaru's mouth first while hoping he doesn't get nicked by all that sharp teeth. What's inside here?]

Fabric now out from his mouth, Bruce will examine this strange grey fabric. Was it torn off from something? Bloodstains? Any kind of pattern? (Does it look like it could come from the sewing room?)]

More clues though, which is great! Bruce will keep that along with the glass shard in his front jumpsuit pocket. He's apparently on a roll today...
Moving downwards even more now. Anything else of note on his body? Limbs, neck, shoulders... the upper part of his body that isn't utterly ruined by this bomb?]

Stab wound check time. Any traces of blood left on the wound? Was it wiped off? Deep or shallow? Or are none of these questions valid because of the explosion that happened right below.]

Annnnd more moving on now! Anything on his arms or hands that are of note? Or well, generally anywhere else on his body that Bruce would be able to notice because like hell he's letting an exploded body stop him from doing his job here.]

The first is bruises on his arms - they're the sort of pre-death defensive wounds that would be expected from someone who put their arms up to shield themselves from something, whether it was their face or another part of their body.
The second will be found if you check for more bruising: there's likewise some pre-death bruising at the back of his head - it doesn't seem dark enough to have been a hit hard enough to render him unconscious or dead, though, just bruising that should be noted.

Just one more thing - does the purple haze have any smell to it? Since Bruce has had to breathe this the whole time so if its anything chemical in nature he might be able to recognize it.]
