Take...Responsibility?

Unlike previous weeks in the Vault, there was no specifically allotted time for investigation; for the first time, this weekend the elevator doors remain closed at the end of the first floor corridor.

There's no getting down into the courtroom from here – but then, you don't need to. After all, no one is dead.

Just the same, however, a crime has been committed; perhaps not one that warrants any sort of death penalty, but one of your number was attacked by someone else still walking among you.

The dining hall has been chosen as the allotted meeting place for the day; it's not the same as the trial circle by a long shot, but even so, the portraits of the deceased watch the proceedings from the far wall.

Ten Survivors still remain. Let's see who wanted to lower that number by one – or nine.
amygdalae: its up to you to decide (just hashing out the facts)

Black didn't have to do anything either, and look where we are.

[Bruce is just

so done with you people jesus fucking christ

how can you just take people abusing your trust like that, Sigrun, seriously]

[It's a curse. Really, she's cursed, she's decided that.]

Gabriel didn't die. I would've taken Black aside myself and gotten answers out of him if-- if this whole thing didn't happen, if we didn't have this whatever this is, and I would've handled it.
amygdalae: you sir have failed me (all of the disappoint)

We're lucky that he didn't die. What happens if he did and we're downstairs now? Would you be able to handle it then, Captain?

[He really will regret all of this later but now he's just. So mad at Sigrun.

He really expected better of you.]

But I didn't die. I'm right here!

[...yes. Yes he is.

Gabriel's voice forces Bruce to pause, at the very least, and he takes in a sharp breath, letting it out in a slow exhale.

(In, out, in, out.)]

...we'll talk about this later.

[.......]

I understand why you're angry, and the answer is no. I couldn't have. I wouldn't even be able to vote for him, just like I couldn't vote for Mettaton in the end.

[So she wouldn't be responsible for his death, unlike the others. Unlike himself.

And now she's lifting her chin a little, looking at Bruce.]

But I still wouldn't regret this. I don't regret standing up for Mettaton, and I don't regret trying to protect Black. Even if it makes me a worse person for it.
amygdalae: make sure its the right one (pick a side)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-23 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bruce just wishes he could understand how anybody could be proud for doing this. For trying to help people who are just making use of you. How is that supposed to be 'love'? How is that good? Its just blind devotion that people will make use of and abuse again and again and again--

("I adore you... but I need the Other Guy.")

Bruce less out a hiss and turns his gaze away from Sigrun, jaw clenched. There's nothing else he can't say that isn't hashing out the same old thing.

He's done with her right now.]
