Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. Well, I do have a lot of that. There was the giant horse who turned into a penguin, then turned into a human with wings, and then fell in love with a tropical fish? That might have had a depressing end to it, but at least it was entertaining when it happened.
