It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved. However, there's still work to do here, isn't there? Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up." And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. "We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out." >Follow?

[Well, obviously he's following! Cherryblod's one of the first to head up to the staircase, if not the first - he's planing on sticking close to the (ex-)Kingmakers, just in case someone - alive or dead - decides to try something.]

[The room that the doorway opens into is massive, expansive. There's what looks to be a window of some sort behind all the dark paneling that allows anyone in here to look down and see the courtroom below; there's a small panel with a microphone there as well, the kind usually connected to a PA system of some sort, and that's likely where all the answers and announcements were piped in from.

Otherwise, though, and infinitely more important is the control panel on the far wall; it's similar to the one in the room you found, Cherryblod, with a huge screen and entirely too many buttons.

Mettaton and Ryuunosuke will stop and wait for you guys here, don't worry, they're not going to immediately move to do anything.]

[He has to wonder if that's how the other stairs worked: finally, he knows. He should feel so giddy. Time to follow, wrapping Blooky's broken headphone wires around his fingers as he goes]

[All in all, things had worked out..... alright, actually. Maybe it could have gone better, maybe not.

The stairs popping up gets a slight reaction, but due to today just going on seemingly forever he's not leaping out of his shoes yet. In fact, he's talking those stairs on. Woo!]

Alright. One last mystery to deal with, eh?

[Colress is still a little hesitant as he steps away from his podium. His intuition is screaming at him not to trust these two, but...he is willing to push it aside. The more he's thought about it, the more he's come to realize that he while he may feel uneasy about the Kingmakers, he does trust Cherryblod and Sigrun. They've taught him so much, after all.

They also haven't been struck dead yet so...that's good.

He'll go ahead and follow the others with his Pokemon alongside him, glancing at the pods as they ascend the stairs.]

[... Well of course she's following, more or less close on Cherryblod's heels if she can be, since he's positively going to be up front and she's already here.

That was kind of cool though. The staircase thing. Even if she knew she should've practiced going up them in heels, the fuck kind of hell is this.]

ESCAPE

[You're not anywhere near dead.

That weird, heavy feeling you remembered at the start of the exercise is back in spades; it probably feels strange, hard for you to move, as though all of your weight is centered in your limbs for some reason and they're holding you back. There's something in front of you as well, heavy glass and metal, and even if by chance you manage to get your body to cooperate with you enough to respond, it isn't going to move, trapping you inside.

It's claustrophobic, and if you can open your eyes enough to look at what's in front of you it's transparent and entirely too bright out there, and...

And eventually the heavy panel in front of you will slide open, and oxygen will come flooding back into your system and whatever was holding you back physically seems to loosen its hold a little on your body, and after enough time passes you can push yourself up a bit and away from the stasis capsule you've been kept in all this time.

(...Or you could try to do it a few moments early and fall on your face, because whatever they had you on was a hell of a drug and your legs are going to hate you, but hey - you do you.)

You aren't the only person in this room, either; around you there are twenty-seven other capsules like yours, twenty-eight in total - all containing somebody coming to nearby. Admittedly, everyone is at varying degrees of function, just like you, but they all seem largely unharmed (if more than a bit woozy and also kind of a mess because wow, stasis for two months).

It's been a long time, guys; feel free to have your reunions.

When you're done with that, there are things to explore here; there's another pair of rooms off to the side, one of which contains...well, another hologram machine for you guys to play with, still calibrated for all of you, your powers and your weapons; feel free to mess with it. There's also another screen + speakers setup that will give you Glory to talk to, should you so decide.

You can also find your...hosts for this entire affair standing near another large control panel in a back room; this is also where the portal is. True to their word, the thing is massive, and it's going to take some doing to figure out, but it's entirely possible to do so just the same - it might just take some fiddling.

[Stan is a sixty-something year old man. Getting up in the morning is painful enough for him sometimes without literally everything that has happened here. He gets an arm over the edge of his pod, removes his glasses with the other hand, and rubs at the indents they've left on the bridge of his nose. Hopefully those go away.]

Just...just gimme a minute.

REUNIONS

[Waking up, threads with your formerly-dead friends, all of that.

And no, deadfriends, Ambitious is not here with you.]

[Of anyone who is gonna stumble out of claustrophobic place first, it's gonna be Sigrun, and as soon as she's able to she's eating shit on the floor, groaning lightly. Give her a minute and she'll sit up, still... kind of groggy feeling, but pulling herself together for the moment.

... So. Join her on the floor or what. She can recount her bad life decisions in relative peace now, even if she's kind of scared to talk to anyone because what if they don't understand her anymore talking with her hands would be bad.]

[ ... what a crazy ride this has been, huh? Aqua's really groggy and disoriented in general when she wakes up, and it does take her a few moments to get her bearings together.

They did it, though. They did it. Aqua hadn't doubted them, in the end.

She climbs out of her pod, stumbles a bit, and steadies herself on the side of the pod. Aqua's head is still spinning... but she is definitely smiling, even if it's a tired sort of smile. ]

[To absolutely no one's surprise, Zagi is trying to get out as soon as possible and this results in him neatly faceplanting onto the floor because what the hell do you expect when you've been in stasis for two months. 10/10. Flawless faceplant.

He pulls himself up quickly enough though and soon he's back on his feet and looking around. His expression is wild and when he laughs it's manic to a point that puts Ryuunosuke's crazy laughter to shame.]

Finally! You guys took your sweet time! For a moment there I thought we were really dead!

[But hey, at least he's not challenging everyone to a fight right away, right? That's... that's good...

(He's stretching now and will probably challenge everyone to a fight later.)

There are a few people he needs to look for specifically, but right now he's more focused on just being properly alive again.]

[He'd been 99% sure they'd get out. That Mettaton wasn't lying to him, that this was the way to bring everyone back.

And for once? His faith was rewarded. Optimism and trust weren't dashed to pieces.

Once he manages to get to his feet, he takes a look around the room, and starts to laugh. It's not the kind of laugh he gave when finding a reminder of his destroyed home, a broken laugh - no, this one is sheer joy.]

[For the second time in a few weeks, Aiden feels like he's spent way too much time in Pawnee. This time though, he minds a lot less. It's disorienting and confusing all the same, but he's not going to let that stop him from getting out of the capsule as fast as he can.]

[For the most part, Mettaton can be found here; he isn't having nearly as much difficulty as most would dealing with stasis, but that's probably to be expected given, well, robot body and all. It's a convenient reason to not stay around, anyway, because that...that is awkward.

Let the others have their reunions; he's all right with being back here for the time being.

Besides, there's a portal machine to work out in here; might as well.]

WHAT TO DO WITH AMBITIOUS

I had a chat with Glory, about Ambitious. Y'all who have been around him these past couple of months will probably have more opinion on this than I do, but she told me that he's stuck inside of the simulation. His body has been destroyed, and I don't think that means he'll be wakin' up with us.

I asked her if we could purge him from the system, and she said that she can, provided the King approves.

I'm in favor of lettin' him die, no matter how evil he is. The alternative is horrific.

NOW YOU'RE THINKING WITH PORTALS

[ ...once Gabriel's got his thing done, Black's also got some neat-o things to share! He's going the "stick his fingers in his mouth and whistle really fuckin' loudly" route to get attention though.

Glory says the portal's two-way. [ HURRAH wait don't cheer yet. ] Ordinarily, it requires someone to stay back here to operate it.

[ A long pause. Black, this is not the fucking time for dramatics? This is not the fucking time. ]

Ordinarily. However, Glory's friend—Hilda—had technology that allowed her to contact Glory at any time and have her open the portal. She mentioned that there might still be more of those devices around here.

[ because why not, right, why wouldn't there be interdimensional smartphones lying around, look at this place. ]

She also mentioned ordinary phones might work, but our best bet is probably finding those devices. I don't know that we'll have enough for everyone, but... It's better than nothing.
