Take Initiative.
| It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved. However, there's still work to do here, isn't there? Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up." And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. "We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out." >Follow? |

Thank god for Cherryblod.]
You can come visit me and watch! Maybe take out a few of them yourself. How do you feel about that?
no subject
Also he seems very into the idea of visiting from the look of excitement he's showing.]
I would be honored to! Well, I don't know if I could do much to them, but I certainly would enjoy watching you and perhaps my Pokemon have a go at them.
no subject
[Like, if Colress finds a way to cure or at least vaccine against it, that'd be cool. That's putting far too much hope into her friend but she has always put a lot of faith in others.]
no subject
[He hadn't been thinking of that much, but now that Sigrun's brought it up again, that's even more of an incentive to come visit. Not like he really needed more, but. It's just another plus.]
Well, you have me there. You know I can never say no to more science. I will do what I can to assist.
[He's a Pokemon scientist first and foremost, but he's not gonna back down from a scientific challenge. Who knows, maybe his knowledge will be useful somehow.
He needs a new project anyway, now that his life's work is complete.]
no subject
[What's the point of having friends who can do fancy smancy stuff like that if you can't invite them to try their hand?
Oooh, she needs to invite Bruce too.]
I just hope you don't get seasick, because it's a few weeks travel by boat.
no subject
[...Several weeks, though. That aspect might be a bit rough. At least he won't be alone?]
no subject
I just don't see why you'd use an airship for sea travel if you can fly everywhere, though. It sounds a lot more useful with the clouds.
no subject
[...He's describing this like it's some sort of evil secret base or something.
Oh wait.]
no subject
This is 'cause you were working under that guy I'm gonna punch, right?
no subject
Y...es. It previously served as the base for his organization, Team Plasma.
[It has to come out at some point, right? Well, he kind of wanted to admit to it at some point anyway to get all the truth out there, but there was never a great time for it...
Sooo he'll just look off somewhere that isn't right at Sigrun for his next bit.]
In addition to running the airship and all of the research going on within it, I was also the acting boss of Team Plasma.
no subject
... So she'll tug his limpy hair back to looking at her.]
So. Give me a list of your crimes. It sounds like you've been holding this in for a while, and I won't judge you by your past.
[When had she ever done that for anyone? As long as they've shown they've changed, as long as they're willing to change, Sigrun doesn't really want to do anything but help that light shine.]
no subject
[He'll be giving her a bewildered stare for that as he rubs his head. That hurt...
But he understands the importance of focusing now. He figured she might ask more questions after a reveal that serious. He's also really grateful about that last bit, more than Sigrun can know. Even though he totally deserved to be judged for it.]
Do you recall everything that I said about Ghetsis back then? How he wanted to rule Unova by raining icy destruction upon it with the power of Black Kyurem? I was there to assist him in achieving that. I designed technology to draw out all of Kyurem's potential power while other members stole the item necessary to create Black Kyurem.
[He's giving Sigrun his full attention as he goes on, but he doesn't look very pleased with himself about any of this. And that would be because...]
I did not agree with his goal, but I assisted him anyway because he was the true representation of one of the possible answers to the question of my life's work. Is the approach of forcefully drawing out a Pokemon's true power with scientific means the way to get the most power? I wanted to see if Ghetsis could prove that to me. The region- or perhaps even the world may have been destroyed in the process, but I was fine with that. I simply wanted an answer.
[And Sigrun knows how adamant he is about getting solid answers...]
no subject
And I'm guessing you found it elsewhere. What ended up being your answer?
no subject
[The teenage girl in the photographs he received from a previous incentive. She did indeed end up becoming a pretty important person to him.]
She represented the opposing approach: drawing out the power of a Pokemon through love and trust. I recognized the true potential of that approach by battling with her several times. When she defeated me one last time on the Frigate just before Ghetsis set the final touches of his plan into action, I allowed her access to face him directly.
And despite the awesome power of Black Kyurem at his disposal- despite drawing out every last drop of Kyurem's innate power, Ghetsis still lost to Rosa. That was more than enough proof to me that I had found my answer. It was also proof to me that I had gone much too far.
[Surprisingly, he smiles a little once it's all said and done.]
But you know, as I began to regain my memories and as time passed here, I had a feeling I already knew the outcome of that climactic battle before I finally remembered it.
no subject
[Maybe someday. Sigrun's grinning now, and she'll ruffle Colress's hair.]
Glad you learned your lesson! Trust's always been important in my world, since it's life or death and you can't do everything on your own, but the love part's still up in the air. Or was, I guess. We'll see.
[Love saves the day. Or it did this time, but there's still a journey ahead. But she's... pretty confident that it'll be fine, that through thick and thin the love she and Cherryblod have for at least one of those disasters will work in their favor.]
no subject
Well, she has a rather busy life, being the Unova Champion and all, but I don't doubt that you two will cross paths at some point if you get a chance to visit.
[As he thinks about it, he's sure that Rosa and Sigrun would get along well. Just like Cherryblod, Colress knows that Sigrun will be a similar type of Trainer as Rosa. It's something he can only hope to be like someday.]
Indeed...I certainly believe I have learned as much by going through these two months with you all. Trust is what got us through this, and Rosa believing in her Pokemon is what gave them the confidence to defeat Ghetsis. Thus, I absolutely do believe in you and Cherryblod.
[His smile softens as he glances off again.]
As for love, perhaps we will have to compare notes at some point down the road. Cherryblod is clearly an outlier.
[Cherryblod has an indescribable amount of love, man.]
...Thank you, Sigrun, for being so understanding about this. I am not so sure I deserve it, but it does mean a lot.
