Take Initiative.
| It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved. However, there's still work to do here, isn't there? Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up." And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. "We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out." >Follow? |

Let the others have their reunions; he's all right with being back here for the time being.
Besides, there's a portal machine to work out in here; might as well.]

But everyone else must be the same, so who cares.
Mouri has something he'd like to do, because he wants to get done with it as soon as possible. It feels...like giving closure to a past self. He feels like a different person, but...yeah, there is a mistake he'd like to apologize for.
He ignores Ryuunosuke because he is a pretentious serial killer Mouri doesn't want to talk with. He is like a stranger, after all. Mettaton is the target here]
Mettaton-kun. It happened two months ago, but I feel I should get done with this now. I'm sorry for having accused Alphys like I did.
[Yeah, it is a formal apology. He has a couple apologies to give, it is just that Mettaton is one of those two]
I'm also sorry for using your appreciation for Alphys as a way to find out more about your session. It was callous but I felt it was necessary at the time.
That is all I wanted to say about this matter.
[He is not very good at apologizing, but he tried]
no subject
Well, of all things Mettaton could have expected here, that...wasn't it, honestly. He kind of locks up a little when Mouri starts talking to him, and it takes him a second to take all of that in, but once all of it's processed it's...not bad? It's a lot of things, but it's not bad, and- ]
...I really am glad that I got to meet you, Detective Mouri. And thanks. For the apology, and for everything else.
no subject
[It's kind of awkward, but yeah, what is one supposed to say, especially when you were being thanked]
I don't know if I'll ever need to talk to you or Uryuu-san, but since I want to find out more about what is going on with the murdergames I suppose in the future I'll have hear from you two again.
If you remember anything that could be important please tell Eide-san or Cherryblod-san. I'm sure they'll find a way to pass me the information.
no subject
I'll do that.
[...]
Take care of yourself, sweetheart.
no subject
[Of course Cherryblod's going to seek him out sooner rather than later. He has to look after him, in case someone decides to take matters into their own hands, and besides -
He'd really like that hug.]
no subject
[Come here, Cherryblod.]
no subject
Mettaton's getting hugged more tightly than Cherryblod's ever hugged him before.]
I missed you so much, my dear.
no subject
I...
[...Give him a moment.]
It's pretty rare that I don't know what to say to something, you know.

I hope I didn't disappoint. [ ...he would not have trusted Mettaton no, but they're all here now so he's surprisingly not as aggravated as he was in deadland. Besides, he remembers that conversation he had with him back in the shooting gallery weeks ago.]
no subject
On the one hand, I've spent the last two weeks absolutely furious with you.
[He smirks a bit once that's out there, though.]
On the other, I would have been sort of upset if I hadn't spent the last two weeks absolutely furious with you.
You did a good job with what you were given.

Trust you liked the explosion too?

She clears her throat. ]
Hard at work?

He doesn't look at her, though.]
Not too busy to talk, darling, if that's what you want.

So. Think your body'll be okay in my world? I mean, like I said, I know how to kind of do stuff with some of the things Alphys was doing with you, but it's nothing... really good, I guess. 'Cause my world isn't Hotland.
[It is very much Coldland. Also: Oh no, she's gonna ramble, she feels the word vomit.]
But if we really need to do anything, Iceland's only a sea away, and that place is full of smart people! Not that you'll be looking around. Actually, uh, we won't really be in Dalsnes at first anyway, I'm kind of in the middle of a mission, but it won't really be a problem? The mountain'll have to wait, anyway. And we can find some way to, you know, keep your functions going until then. No problem.
[Can you stop her sometime or. You know. Something. She's gonna get to Ryuunosuke after this business stuff.]
no subject
He'll turn to face her after a moment before just...approaching her, though he draws up short before coming too close.]
...I'm looking forward to being there, darling, don't worry. I think I'll be fine.
no subject
That's good. [like this isn't an awkward shitshow] ... Can I ask you something? It's, uh. It's been on my mind for a while. Nothing too bad. I think.

Excuse me, Mettaton-san? May I speak with you for a moment?
[...She was barely capable of saying two words to him without being flustered in VR land, what could she possibly want to say to him now.]
no subject
Of course. What is it, sweetheart?
no subject
When we first came here, we were told that our worlds had been destroyed and that the two of you had saved us from that. [... If her tone sounds a little sore about that, that's probably to be expected, considering that it was a lie and all.] I don't know if you or Ryuunosuke-san would recall, but I thanked the Kingmaker at the time for having done that for us. Even though it turned out to be a lie...
... I just wanted to say that I'm glad that my gratitude was not misplaced. Despite the horrible things the two of you put us through--which, I can't say that I can forgive you entirely for, but I'm... I'm glad I was given the chance to meet everyone here. It's another chance for some of us to make things right for ourselves, too.
[Unintentionally, you guys actually did save her from a world that may as well be destroyed for all that matters. Heck, she probably wouldn't even be alive right now if she had been left alone back home instead of getting sucked into this stupid murder game.]
So... thank you both, for that. [Accompanied by a polite bow of the head, too.]
