Take Initiative.
| It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved. However, there's still work to do here, isn't there? Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up." And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. "We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out." >Follow? |

You look better with glasses on. [sigrun.] I mean. You're welcome, Colress, even if I couldn't have done it without all of you too. We're a team.
no subject
Oh, don't worry, I'll have them back on in a moment. I needed a break from them- they've been on my face far too long.
[At least he agrees?]
Haha, I appreciate that. I admit that I was very concerned at first, but...it worked. You and Cherryblod are truly something.
["Something" could mean a lot of things, but this is in a good way, promise.]
no subject
Trust's not something that's easily given, not easily earned, but... I mean, it was for kind of selfish reasons, in the end. Between you and me.
[Neither her or Cherryblod wanted to lose Mettaton again.]
... I didn't doubt their word though, after they gave it. Maybe it's just my nature. But I think I know the two of them well enough by now, even if Ryuu was mostly through our calls. I get him to a point.
no subject
You two displayed a nearly impossible to define amount of trust today. Seeing something like that...and after all the time I spent here with you all, it is easy to see that perhaps I had been misjudging it all along.
[Between here and his memory regains...
There were some bumps along the way, but overall, trust won out. He did say he always looks for confirmation one way or the other when seeking an answer, and that was a big enough confirmation for him.]

I'm glad I could help you out with your sciencey stuff, then! You still need to show me all the cool things chemicals can do too, don't forget that, and I kind of want to see if you have any normal creatures in that world of yours too.
no subject
Ahh, I never did get a chance to show you, did I? My apologies, things got a bit hectic at the end.
[That is such an understatement.]
But I can show you that and other Pokemon in Unova. You are always invited to visit, you know. You and all the others.
[...It goes without saying that Mettaton and Ryuunosuke will need strict supervision, right?]
I actually have a Pokemon in mind for you, by the way. And I promise it is not a sentient inanimate object.
no subject
Yeah? What is it?
no subject
It is called Riolu, and it is known as the Emanation Pokemon because it uses a spiritual energy known as aura to express its feelings. As a Fighting-type, it is remarkably strong even for an unevolved Pokemon.
It evolves into a dual Fighting/Steel-type known as Lucario. I thought you might appreciate that it is an excellent fighter but its typing allows for it to be defensive when needed.
[With that said...]
As for their appearances, they are dog-like but bipedal, meaning they can stand on their hind legs. They are skilled runners!
no subject
[Ahhh look at that beam!!!
and watch as it freezes in a moment of realization, dropping to something more curious.]
Is it a mammal? Because most dogs are, and uh. Most dogs get infected pretty easily by the Illness and then they mutate into nightmares.
no subject
Hm.]
I...suppose you could call it that? But they also lay eggs. All Pokemon do.
...So I am not entirely sure if it would qualify. Do you know how this Illness typically manifests?
[It definitely sounds horrifying, but it'll be good knowledge to have. He doesn't want to imagine a Pokemon mutating into nightmares.]
no subject
[... holy shit, hold on, she needs to
she's gonna take off her jacket and roll up her sleeve and fuckin yup she has thread still in her, that is two months worth of a healed wound, does she just. take it out. what does she do here.]
Well, this little... whatever it is aside, I don't think Rio's gonna catch anything. [she gave it a nickname already] I don't think anything that's part metal is gonna have worry about it.
no subject
...Perhaps you should speak with Bruce about that.
[JUST...GETTING THAT OUT THERE...]
As for Rio, [Of course he'll use it too!] I believe it should be fine? Pokemon illness is something that exists, and is usually what causes them to die rather than injuries from battle, but I am going to guess that they also have different biology than the creatures in your world.
[...Now that he thinks about it.]
Does that mean you are immune, yourself?
no subject
Yup. That's how it's more or less always been in my family, and any kids I have will probably be that way too.
[now: imagine sigrun with kids.]
I'm glad to hear that Rio'll be fine though. I'd like to take them out into the field with me and kick some troll ass.
no subject
[Punching them and stuff seems a lot harder when it's an infection risk.
...Sigrun with kids. Those poor, yet most likely to be as amazing as their mom kids.
Would that also make Mettaton their dad. Obviously not biologically, but.
Okay not imagining that right now.]
I would expect nothing less. And I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be interested in seeing it happen.
no subject
Thank god for Cherryblod.]
You can come visit me and watch! Maybe take out a few of them yourself. How do you feel about that?
no subject
Also he seems very into the idea of visiting from the look of excitement he's showing.]
I would be honored to! Well, I don't know if I could do much to them, but I certainly would enjoy watching you and perhaps my Pokemon have a go at them.
no subject
[Like, if Colress finds a way to cure or at least vaccine against it, that'd be cool. That's putting far too much hope into her friend but she has always put a lot of faith in others.]
no subject
[He hadn't been thinking of that much, but now that Sigrun's brought it up again, that's even more of an incentive to come visit. Not like he really needed more, but. It's just another plus.]
Well, you have me there. You know I can never say no to more science. I will do what I can to assist.
[He's a Pokemon scientist first and foremost, but he's not gonna back down from a scientific challenge. Who knows, maybe his knowledge will be useful somehow.
He needs a new project anyway, now that his life's work is complete.]
no subject
[What's the point of having friends who can do fancy smancy stuff like that if you can't invite them to try their hand?
Oooh, she needs to invite Bruce too.]
I just hope you don't get seasick, because it's a few weeks travel by boat.
no subject
[...Several weeks, though. That aspect might be a bit rough. At least he won't be alone?]
no subject
I just don't see why you'd use an airship for sea travel if you can fly everywhere, though. It sounds a lot more useful with the clouds.
no subject
[...He's describing this like it's some sort of evil secret base or something.
Oh wait.]
no subject
This is 'cause you were working under that guy I'm gonna punch, right?
no subject
Y...es. It previously served as the base for his organization, Team Plasma.
[It has to come out at some point, right? Well, he kind of wanted to admit to it at some point anyway to get all the truth out there, but there was never a great time for it...
Sooo he'll just look off somewhere that isn't right at Sigrun for his next bit.]
In addition to running the airship and all of the research going on within it, I was also the acting boss of Team Plasma.
no subject
... So she'll tug his limpy hair back to looking at her.]
So. Give me a list of your crimes. It sounds like you've been holding this in for a while, and I won't judge you by your past.
[When had she ever done that for anyone? As long as they've shown they've changed, as long as they're willing to change, Sigrun doesn't really want to do anything but help that light shine.]
