Take Initiative.

It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved.

However, there's still work to do here, isn't there?

Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up."

And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder.

"We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out."

[It's admittedly mostly for her own conscience. Since she's said her stuff and they're in a safer place while she's doing it, she feels a lot better, rolling her shoulder to feel it out. Mmm, good.]

Then my first wish is that... well, you're a scientist like Colress is, so if you wouldn't mind coming around to my world someday and seeing what your mind can do to maybe help out with the Illness, I'd seriously appreciate it. You'd be away in Iceland most of the time though.

[So he wouldn't have to be around... those guys.]

I gave the same offer to him, anyway. He was pretty excited to get to do sciencey stuff, so... I thought I should open it to you, too.

[Bruce pauses for a moment at that offer, mostly because he does have to give it through consideration - its definitely not something he can answer Sigrun immediately. It's easy enough to go 'yes' and help because that's what he always wanted to do, and if he could cure an epidemic like the one Sirgun's world is going through? It'll make things all the better.

But at the same time he's placed his responsibilities here, with what he does intend to do, and running off to Iceland for something else doesn't exactly tally up very well.]

If I ever find the time, I'll see what I can do. [That's the best that he can promise - although he will eventually make actual time for it in the future. But possibly not for a while, when emotions were still in the way.

Anyway, as he says that he gets out the gauze and antiseptic, because even though its been two months its still better to play it safe.]
captainobnoxious: (44 easy does it)

That's all I ask of you, doctor.

[And it really is. There isn't anything she can do to stop the Illness from spreading -- and really it gives her a job she loves, so it isn't like she minds it that much -- but having people who do have knowledge that's been lost for almost a century is too good to pass up.

... Besides, even if they stop the spread within her lifetime there's still many lands to explore and conquer. Sigrun won't be out of a job for a while.]

Thanks. For considering it and for patching me up again. If that potato-mouthed Dane was as good at this as you were, though, I'd have no scars, and that would be a damn shame.

[There's another pause at that, though one could contribute that to Bruce doing his best to focus on his task at hand - which was to clean the general wound area that Sigrun had. Though by all means, its not the hardest thing that Bruce had to do.]

You do not I'm not actually a medical doctor, right?

[He says this as he finishes up cleaning the wound and picks up the gauze.]
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

Scientists and doctors are the same thing to me.

[... That's all.]

They're really not.

[...that's all.]
captainobnoxious: (17 listen here now)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-05-04 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
... To me, [she'll repeat, because that's the important thing.] Besides, you also did our bodies and stuff like that, so what makes you any different than a medic?
amygdalae: even I don't get it (explain this to me)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-05-05 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I wasn't trained in this professionally.

[That's a very big difference.]
