Take Initiative.
| It seems things have been resolved - peacefully, if more than a little awkwardly for most parties involved. However, there's still work to do here, isn't there? Ryuunosuke shrugs after a long moment; tips his head up a bit. "Hey, Glory? Let everyone up." And apparently that's all it takes, though what that actually does isn't something that happens all at once - rather, panels slide out from the wall, forming a staircase up to that balcony they've been standing on. Mettaton doesn't really wait for the others to join them; he just leaves back through that section of wall they entered from, calling something back over his shoulder. "We've got another room to work from back here, darlings, this shouldn't take too long to work out." >Follow? |

Doctor! Hey!
[Wave wave. Like, she can move it and shit just fine, obviously, but she's got her jacket off already for a reason.]
Remember how I came into that place with my arm stitched up?
no subject
Yes. [He returns mildly, only a brief pause between that and his next words.] Do you need me to look at it again?
no subject
[... She'll roll up her sleeve. Her wounds are all healed up, but obviously the thread's still there. The ugly stitches, Bruce. Your neat ones were so much nicer. She's definitely having a few scars from this.]
I figure I'd ask you to do something about it than trying to take them out myself. With my teeth.
no subject
Either way, he gives a nod and manages to not make a face about the part about teeth. Really now, Sigrun, you should know better at this know.]
I'll try to find a first-aid kit around this place and see what I can do.
no subject
You are the best, doc! I knew I could count on you! I just hope it doesn't start bleeding again.
[... Working on her arm would probably be a good time for her to either apologize for butting heads with him (though she's not entirely sorry about it, seeing as it worked out in the end this time, it was still a risk to trust either of them especially the one who'd already betrayed them twice now) or to just sit there and say "I told you so" but you know what. Yeah. Let's go find a first-aid kit.]
no subject
But anyway.
He gestures for her to sit down and wait as he takes a couple of minutes to go hunt around this building they are in for that first-aid kit. It's going to take a while, hope you have something to occupy yourself in the meantime.]
no subject
Or she could take her new found freedom and just lay down instead, hesitating a moment before shaking her thoughts away and seeing if she can't doze off.
She won't blow up. That'd been a rule in the VR place. But it's still a little nervewracking to get into the mindset that she can afford a quick nap and there won't be blood and guts anywhere. Naps are important in her line of work though. She needs to get back to that.]
no subject
(This place is going to need some serious reorganizing if they're going to get anything started.)
When he returns he's quick to notice the fact that Sigrun has apparently dozed off in the meantime. Bruce doesn't exactly want to disturb her (frankly well-needed) rest, but he does have to look at her wound before it gets worse.]
Captain Eide. [He starts, voice quiet as he reaches over and gently taps her uninjured shoulder.]
no subject
Took y'long enough. [A yawn.] It's weird being able to sleep here. Not very comfy either.
[But her arm's there to be taken care of, given without hesitation, so you know.]
no subject
[Just somewhat dryly as he opens the first aid kit and gets out the required items--most of them were going to need replacements too. This place was going to need a lot of work.
Anyway, he'll attend to that wound now. He gestures for her to roll that sleeve up properly and once it's done, he goes to slowly start removing the stitches on her arm.]
Should've been taken out a long time ago. [Two months is way too long to leave those stitches on.]
no subject
[Out of the... others. She'll talk her way through any pain, though it's mostly a really odd tugging feeling that's kind of fucking weird.]
So. I mean. I know this has all worked out in the end so far, and I'm sure you're still not totally sure if those two disasters are gonna stab me in the back or not, but I'm gonna apologize for putting our lives at risk on a gamble anyway. [A pause.] You're right not to trust them. And I'm gonna keep my eyes on them too, make sure they don't do anything in my world they shouldn't, but I think it'll be fine.
I've been wrong in the past before, but... I think this is solid. They did want this round to end, after all. And know they deserve to die. But I'll keep you updated on how things are, if you'd like, and as busy as I'll be with them and everything back home I'm still offering my services to help out with stopping the whole entertainment gig this world's got going on with murder games and stuff.
You know. If you want it. Or need it.
[Because she's always gonna be there for her people. They come first over Ryuunosuke and even Mettaton, as close a contender as he is, and Sigrun would undoubtedly drop what she was doing to help out if she was called on.]
no subject
He's quiet as Sigrun speaks, partly because he has to focus and also because--really, what does she expect him to say? He's already mostly said what he wanted to say back inside there, and as much as he's glad it seems to be okay right now there's no telling how things will change. Things always change after all - people, places, circumstances, everything. This wasn't going to be different.]
You made your choice. [Is what he does say, eventually, after he gets out the last stitch and can sit back up properly again.] That's all I can say. What happens from here on is your own responsibility to bear.
[If things go south, she's the one who's going to have to handle it.
And to the next part--]
You're free to do whatever you wish.
[He's not going to stop her. He doubts he even could, anyway.]
no subject
Then my first wish is that... well, you're a scientist like Colress is, so if you wouldn't mind coming around to my world someday and seeing what your mind can do to maybe help out with the Illness, I'd seriously appreciate it. You'd be away in Iceland most of the time though.
[So he wouldn't have to be around... those guys.]
I gave the same offer to him, anyway. He was pretty excited to get to do sciencey stuff, so... I thought I should open it to you, too.
no subject
But at the same time he's placed his responsibilities here, with what he does intend to do, and running off to Iceland for something else doesn't exactly tally up very well.]
If I ever find the time, I'll see what I can do. [That's the best that he can promise - although he will eventually make actual time for it in the future. But possibly not for a while, when emotions were still in the way.
Anyway, as he says that he gets out the gauze and antiseptic, because even though its been two months its still better to play it safe.]
no subject
[And it really is. There isn't anything she can do to stop the Illness from spreading -- and really it gives her a job she loves, so it isn't like she minds it that much -- but having people who do have knowledge that's been lost for almost a century is too good to pass up.
... Besides, even if they stop the spread within her lifetime there's still many lands to explore and conquer. Sigrun won't be out of a job for a while.]
Thanks. For considering it and for patching me up again. If that potato-mouthed Dane was as good at this as you were, though, I'd have no scars, and that would be a damn shame.
no subject
You do not I'm not actually a medical doctor, right?
[He says this as he finishes up cleaning the wound and picks up the gauze.]
no subject
[... That's all.]
no subject
[...that's all.]
no subject
no subject
[That's a very big difference.]
