...If it means anything, for the longest time I did not put faith in the concept at all, as much as I wanted to. Trust is not something you can firmly predict- it is an unknown factor, completely unstable and not good to use in my research.
You two displayed a nearly impossible to define amount of trust today. Seeing something like that...and after all the time I spent here with you all, it is easy to see that perhaps I had been misjudging it all along.

There were some bumps along the way, but overall, trust won out. He did say he always looks for confirmation one way or the other when seeking an answer, and that was a big enough confirmation for him.]
