You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here. Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now. Maybe you should have a window in the first place. This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out. Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring. If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building. Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems. But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this. Welcome to Chronos University.

Well, there's no windows and doors, but yeah, I guess it doesn't feel cold. But the walls are solid as if we're underground... or they could just be sturdy...

... Man, she should exercise too. Watching this guy do it as he talks makes her feel like she should ]

It's reasonable to worry about your friends, isn't it?

Hell's bells- what?! We're not- excuse me?

We're friends. [said with just a complete air of finality.]

She will never be friends with a human, okay... ]

[ And, so surprised is she by that declaration, it takes her a moment to come up with the obvious solution. Namely- in a quick movement Elda makes to try and leap up and press her hand to Sportacus's forehead. She'll just erase his memories!

... She's not yet learned she can't do that ]

... [oh. wow. is this embarrassing. is this meant to do something. oh man. she just totally tried to use magic on him and it didn't work. wow]

What is this supposed to do? [he'll pretend it worked if it'll make her feel better!]

[matchbreaker]

[ Bwah?! She knows there was no bats but- but?! ]

Why isn't it working?!

[ She jabs her hand in harder, as if that will help ]

It could be working! I don't know what it is, so it could be working and I wouldn't even know!

[matchbreaker]

I'd know if it was working! You can feel it!

[ And she leaps three steps back then, into a crouch and pulling her hand back t herself with gritted teeth. ] Why isn't that working?!

[sportadork]

[so he's basically immediately at her side, all concerned like she didn't sorta physically assault him two seconds ago.]

Are you okay? What isn't working?

[ Elda shouts this, baring her claws and fangs in an attempt to look menacing, and to dissuade Sportacus from getting closer to her. Normally, this sort of menace comes naturally to Elda Marker. Right now, she is still scary, or at least would be to many people, her nails now much more claws than anything and her red eyes flashing. However, right now there's also an edge of panic in her heart, and the implication is much more a cornered animal than some overwhelming creature of the night. ]

[honestly, even if she were absolutely terrifying, he wouldn't leave. mainly because he doesn't actually feel fear. but also mainly because he wouldn't dream of leaving someone who so clearly needs his help.]

It's okay, Elda! You're okay! [he doesn't really know if she is, but it sounds nice.]
